With the first international break of the season now upon us and the transfer window finally shut, we take time out to delve into the Members data this evening. In the first of a three-part series, we assess the players by position and pick out the most pertinent stats over the opening four rounds of fixtures.
Jarvis has been loaned to Norwich
Would he start for them?
Eventually, yes IMO
Interesting
Norwich are getting a collection of relegees.
'Arry sat ordering players from a McDonalds drive thru.
"I'll 'ave a Big Mac, 2 cheese burgers, Peter Crouch, Sol Campbell, large fries, Jermaine Defoe and a coke""Make it a coke zero, I'm on a diet."
Annnd after WC my only remaining players from GW1 are... Wilson & Francis ! 🙂
wow big change
Mine is just Chadli haha
What you changed to?
Haha brilliant. It's always amazing in gw38 and think. I started with them!
Nathan Dyer moved as backup or do you think he'll get gametime?
Gametime, still think he's quality.
Would be interested to know more as well...
Full transfer list if anyone's interested. Exact figures may be a bit off but just there as a rough guide.

Good list but...
Harry Wilson is on loan at Crewe
Oriel Romeu moved to SouthamptonRomeu is listed as a Southampton player
And I will change Wilson now
+1
good stuff.. cheers
thanks for your time and effort
Thanks
Wow Podolski 2m and Murray 3,5m. Whatever happened with him?
Will Glenn Murray mess with Wilson's gametime or pens?
quite possibly
Hopefully.
I bloody hope not.
me too.
Bloody hope not but probably will. Eddie loves Wilson though, he's still his number 1 striker
Murray good at pens apparently.
Successful penalties 18, missed penalties 9
Is that good?
I'm hearing Berahino will be loaned to Tottenham with a fixed price agreed for January. Not an option to buy, compulsion to buy.
Reports and sources, internet. Hashtags ###.don't see how that is possible - loaned out before jan?
He can be loaned today.
don't think that is correct
I've heard Berahino is being traded for liquidity on the CDS market with a warrant to call in Jan at a higher strike
(I'm aware this a niche gag)Not sure that derivative option exists.
Is he a terminator?
They're not regulated firms. The PRA would destroy football.
Is their a must have for Palace going forward? I have a feeling they'll get better as the season goes on for sure. I like the idea of Puncheon/Sako from GW5 onwards.
really tempted by Sako but can't see how to squeeze him in.
Essential Palace players? 😀
Would really say essential but I've seen a lot of talk of Swansea attackers but not much of Palace's. It could be a nice differential in ML's, mine especially.
Wouldn't* sorry
I would wait until gw7
You concerned about Spurs/Watford away I take it?
No. Spurs away and Man City at home. You could bring him in for gw7. You will then know if he is going to keep his place.
I meant from GW6 onwards, sorry, that was a genuine typo ha! You think he will?
I like the idea of Sako as well.
Especially for £5.5m, bringing him in for Payet after GW5 would free up a big £2m and I'd be left with £4m ITB, it's certainly worth considering.
Sounds good.
Sakho, on current form.
Plays for WHam. Backing vocals I think.
between sako & Cabaye for me (may be wait till GW7)
Charlie Austin
You're hilarious.
I'm thinking of Bolasie once he's in the line up for sure
Cheeky
Interesting transfers from a FF perpective:
DYER 4.8
MOSES 5.3
LINDEGUARD 4.5
LENNON 5.8Why are you spamming this?
TAG just posts....endlessly. Doesn't read or reply. Just posts.
+Borini
Saw it where it belongs, on the last page.
Is this the year English teams in Europe cause us to lose a champions league place? Not sure of the maths, but the teams seem to get worse on the whole every year.
I think the 4 spots the PL has is pretty secure. Outside of Germany and Spain no league is really close on the coefficient iirc.
I thought Italy had been doing better recently, and were catching. France also doing quite well with the emergence of PSG and Monaco in Europe.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015%E2%80%9316_UEFA_Champions_League#Association_ranking
We're somehow ahead of Germany as it stands! Thanks Mull.
Doesn't help that Wham and Soton crashed out early. Those Europa League points are the easy ones. The new seeding system doesn't really encourage teams to improve their rank. It's either win or nothing.
Italy is pretty close
I blame the 4-2-3-1 that everyone seems to want to play.
Surely Martial is going to be starting week in week out if they have spent £36m on him.
Any united fans have a view on this?No way. You have to separate the price tag from the player here. He's only 19
Lukaku,Sterling and a few others were starting regularly for Premier League teams at that age.
Not that I would agree with him starting but couldn't the desperate times for Man Utd mean he does?True, but they had plenty of experience in the premier league before their regular starts. Martial is raw compared to them. I would expect him to feature in the first-team plans, but mainly come off the bench or start in the cup competitions, and a handful of leage games. Not one to consider for fpl
to be fair sterling was starting regularly at 17 and was one the key players
he's very raw and expect him to be eased in but no doubt LVG sees him as a first team player and imo our centre forward
Charlie Austin would have been a good buy
They bought him to score goals. He probably won't though
WC transfers, Yay or Nay?
Out: Baker, Coates, Ozil, Hazard, Hoolahan, Benteke
In: Jevans, Targett, Alexis, Pedro, Ayew, WilsonNot Targett, he's done. The rest are good.
Targett tough fixtures ahead, better with Gomez if its a cheap defender you are after. unless you already have him
Will Evans start immediately?
Don't see why not. The bigger question may be 'how many weeks before he's injured?"
Something to note today. Murray is a very good penalty taker and will probably take over penalty duties.
What time is our Andy playing tonight?
Midnight 😉
Thanks!
He has to get on the pitch first.
The assumption that some signed player could be on pens before a ball is kicked is ridiculous IMO.The assumption that a player who has been signed who is a notable penalty taker being a penalty taker at a new club is not ridiculous.
OK fine. Youve decided.
Everyone, Murray is on pens for Bournemouth.
Just because Demel says so.Big difference between the words probably and is. I haven't decided anything. I am just pointing out that Murray is a noted penalty taker (he has taken them for all previous clubs) and it has to be a good probability that he will take them for Bournemouth.
I still reckon Ritchie is on pen's.
Wilson only took it because he was on his hattrick. This coming from a wilson owner.I think Ritchie is ahead of Wilson but I think there is a decent chance Murray will overtake Ritchie (which might lessen his appeal).
So, no ones price rising tonight? What about falls?
The usual sites have been so off the boil with Pedro and Hazard I don't know who to trustwhich site do you use?
fplstatistics
didn't they say McCarthy was set to rise for a few weeks before he actually did? It's all so confusing
pedro might, still a couple of hours left.

Sad images. Hope he plays i want to see him in Euros next year.
I see the new suit has gone. 🙂
Awwww bless his cotton socks.
Looks like borini when he signed for Sunderland
slap it up him... ready to desert the club that made him and stuck by him all because he's insecure and afraid his girlfriend is getting nailed left right and centre when they are apart
lol, a tad harsh
haha
Well, he's rich and his girlfriend looks like this. Bit hard to feel too sorry for him
https://citysubwaycreatures.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/evangelina-anderson-csc.pngkind of reaffirms my point above
Big deal. He change the club in next oprtunity. That is not the end of the world.
As a Spurs fan,sad that the last of the mohicans A.Lennon left the club, but he never fulfilled the expectations.
We're glad to have him back.
All he really had was pace and a bit of trickery 🙂
Martial is a poor signing short term imo. Don't see much difference between him and James Wilson.
36m is not short term
He is a great signing for the future, obviously.
But they need a backup striker NOW. I don't think he is good enough yet to be one.Sometimes it's better to be silent and just watch how things go.
but that's boring 🙁
looks like this year will be another transition year. Like LvG said it's a process
They need a first choice striker, not a back up one.
Goal and assist predictions this season from GW5 onwards for the following guys?
Pedro, KDB, Son, Martial, Moses?Whats yours?
Pedro-13 goals, 8 assists
KDB- 8 goals, 14 assists
Moses-4 goals, 5 assistsThats quite a debut season for Pedro
Pedro - 10 goals, 10 assists
KDB - 10 goals, 12 assists
Son - 5 goals, 6 assists
Martial - 5 goals, 3 assists
Moses - 2 goals, 3 assistsPedro 10 + 5
KDB 2 +12
Son 3+4
Martial 1+1
Moses 1+2Wow. Son not getting much love
To be honest, I can't really see Spurs ripping the world apart, so it's in line with that.
KDB wont be near those 10+10 predictions
Where can I see my transfer history?
click on transfer history
😀
haha thank you...didn't even bother to look myself :S
...it's for my friend, he has 5 different players than last week and it says 6 transfers made from last week, he doesn't know how that happened and I know even less.
Click on his transfer history.
..haha obviously 🙂
thanks

lol
Own goal?
He is there from start
How much did Yaya Sanogo cost for Arsenal?
think it was free
free i think
Cheers
I think teams like Stoke, West Ham and Southampton will score more goals then United this season.
How the might have fallen. LVG doing worse then Moyes IMOi think his win record is worse than moyes atm with the same games played
Its all relative, Moyes finished 7th and LVG finished 4th
Well if you think it it must be true
My thoughts exactly
I disagree. Don't think any of those 3 teams will outscore Utd.
sound argument u make.. ever considered a blog?
They will probably score more than Liverpool. 4 games, two goals and 1 was offside. 0 shots on target at home to West Ham....
agree
somebody better wake up that bloke from green day hahahahHAHAHAHAHA
September hasn't ended you birk!
Wake me up when september begi... oh wait
goddammit how do I remove this
YOU DON'T HAHA
Weird question..
If you were told by Marty McFly that Shelvey would ge 10 assists and 5 goals over this season @5.5 but not told which weeks he'd get em in would you put him in your team and stick with him all season as your 4th mid and play him every week?defnitely
Probably.
Thats expensive for a fifth mid. With those stats though, hes fourth mid material
Yup.. for a 4th mid. Would 150 points be enough? or would you rather try to get 180 by rotating in the sub 6.0 range based on fixtures/form?
Honestly, not imo.
Even if that were true, I would play someone around that price range who is in form and scoring goals/assists (much like Mahrez and Sako now. Possibly Gradel in future.)Would you not rather the safety net of 150 points instead of gambling with that spot to get more? Shelvey could be any 5.5 mid. hypothetical situation..
I guess I would. 130-160 points for a 5.5 mid would be amazing.
Unfortunetely, if I have a player that is not performing well statistically speaking for a couple of weeks in a row, (and have no other pressing matters at hand) I tend to transfer such player out for another in the sub 6.5 market based on form/fixtures.
As someone who regularly watches Swansea in the flesh I would advise against putting him in your team.
- Don't get me wrong, he is a great player, one of my favourites to watch actually. The problem is that more often than not this season it will be Ayew and Gomis that get the lions share of the points.
He's one of those players who managers would love to have in their team but there are better FPL than him imo.
He also tends to have 'off days' where he seems to be knowwhere. At least when Ayew and Gomis have off days they can still sneak a goal. The same won't happen with Shelvey.
Anyway, GLCreating the number of chances he is and now having both of Ayew and Gomis to supply...plus kicks...It's impossible that he won't score good pts in such a good attacking team....and he likes a shot himself.
Patience.I certainly don't disagree with what you're saying, and as I said I'm a big fan of his. I just think there are better ways of structuring a FPL midfield. But hey, we are all different!
GLWhat it allows is three heavy hitting mids (if you can fin three that are delivering)
So whilst we all know that Silva, Sanchez and Hazard will score a bucket full of pts in the end (above everybody else) we can't have all three to begin with very easily, unless we make a compromise somewhere. Shelvey is a good compromise.
He can sneak in an assist on his off days though 🙂
I do agree that Ayew/Gomis are better options but they take up 1.5+ more of the budget and are competing with a lot of players in the sub 8.0 price range from other teams. Shelvey should be good for a healthy 4ppg over the season for patient managers.
Got a question though..
With Ki back will Cork(playing fantastic) get dropped for easy home games for him? or will Ki just play when the form of one of the mids drops? In the immediate future, Shelvey will be the one constant out of Shelvey, Ki and Cork. I can however foresee a time where Ki and Cork will start if Shelveys form drops.
But for now it will be Shelvey and Cork or Shelvey and Ki
No, you'd still judge on form. Besides, it doesn't necessarily mean he'll have returns for 15 out of 38 games
You dunno which games he'll play.. so you got to play him every week for 38 weeks.. he can get the returns in 5 games for all it matters 🙂 .. at the end of the day you'll get 150 points for that spot. Or would you rather swap players based on form and try to get a higher points total for your 4th mid spot?
123 points not including bonus isn't bad for 5.5 so quite probably!
Yup.. but would it be enough for you to play him every week as a 4th or would you get greedy and chase other players around based on form and fixture? 🙂 .. Btw Henderson got those figures last season and got 162 points(one extra goal though)
Would really depends on how many heavy hitters are performing I suppose.
But yeah I probably would
He's Henderson on the cheap....
That's not a positive.
Henderson grinds his way to good pts every year.
This.. These kind of players require the most patience though. you cant get em in for an easy run of 4 games and expect great points. it's a long term buy or stay away.
How did you work that out?
Should have been 123~ really - just a rough working out
That's exactly why I have him...because he probably will.
Yup. Planning on just leaving him in all season. Rather that then try to chase players based on form/fixtures for that spot in the sub 6.0 market.. which is a very unpredictable market really.
Shelvey with one of Sako/Ouncheon/Bolasie will get good pts at fourth and fifth mid.
That's my plan 🙂 .. Chadli to Puncheon on the cards for next week
I was thinking this as well actually 🙂
Chadli -> Puncheon
Pelle -> Benteke
Pedro -> Sanchez (Got Haz)
These are some of the transfers on my mind for the next couple of weeks 🙂
You still have your WC Valar?Yup. holding onto it until GW 12+ ..
Got Benteke/Hazard/Chadli/Sanchez who i'm not really happy with but i'm playing the long term game with them(though Chadli leaves after sunderland from that lot 🙂 )Yup, 3 points from 4 games is a very poor start from Spurs.
Against a Sunderland squad who look horrible at the back I reckon Chadli and Spurs could easily dominate.
I'm not worried about the big hitters not performing. Hazard/Aguero are still in my team for the time being.
Of course - unless I saw better returns for a similar Mahrezesque price. He'd be in a 3-way rotation with one of the forwards.
Arsenal the only team in the top 5 leagues across Europe to not buy an outfield player this summer!!!!
a striker away from a title challenge too
Really dont understand. They truly are a striker away from contending for first.
There was a tweet a couple days ago about sacking Wenger for someone who will buy a striker or two and a CDM then re-hiring him. If only the board listened to this anonymous genius.
dyer to start?
Never know with the Tinkerman
Just watching x-men. I dont get that movie at all
So another friend od mine (playing for the first time) took a 36pt hit in GW2, because he forgot to pres the WC button...in the next GW he eventually used his wildcard because of a bad result...fair enough, his rank is 200k better than mine 🙂
It has been the season of the casual and bad luck
pretty much, yes...it's going to change after the int. break, I hope 🙂
8 years, 8 months ago
Is joe bennett now a genuine 4 million option?are mings and that other lad that got injured out longterm?and the same positions?x
