The ScoutCast – Episode 174 – Cameo

Sneaking in late like John Terry in a triumphant team photo, Granville gatecrashes this week’s ScoutCast after we drafted in Andy85WSM as his able replacement.

Andy tag teams with Jonty and myself as we look back ten days at the long forgotten Gameweek 12, before grappling with another round of posers from the community.

We cast tentative votes on the Aguero debate, assess Lukaku’s armband credentials, check that we really can write off Chelsea and question whether time is up for Sanchez in the light of Ozil’s streak of assists.

After all that, Granville parachutes in and we get a few minutes to gloat over his injury-ravaged squad. A worthy cameo contribution.

This episode of the ScoutCast was recorded and broadcast live on Wednesday evening, published via our YouTube channel.

Oh my gersh! Well done, son. Great tidbits to digest in that there summary. I kind a laugh at Deulofeu's recent success. I wanted him at the start of the year. Was gonna be one of my sneakier installments. But, he tweaked his hammy, and that was that. He got them mooves....lad always looking to produce a goal somehow someway.

I didn't mean any offence. Just work in the industry, have for more than I care to remember. All about percentages really. THe promo you've described sounds standard. Most people try to use something classed as free in a multiple bet. Most fail, thent he bonus is either given a turnover like yours or restricted to bad markets.
Most people lose money, the ones that don't we restrict so they cant' gamble anymore.

            None taken.
Yeah the "promo" sucks but it's better to use it then not to as I anyway will gamble.
Been gambling since the mid 80's and since online gambling started and these types of promos I usually succeed with. Actually thought this one was a done deal.

Am personally happy leaving Aguero for a bit and if needed taking a hit. Aston Villa where no better at conceeding chances vs City, Bony just didn't put enough on target. Currently thinking between Lukaku and Kane myself but pretty sure I'll (C) Lukaku if I get him.

    Crazy to go without Kun?

Listening to the Scoutcast, they made some good points. Kun isn't going to score 5 goals every game and feel like Kane, Lukaku and Vardy could all potentially equal him in points.

Downside is that if I do go without him and he htis incredible form then by that time he could be completely out of reach.

God it would be easier to choose the red or blue pill.

That is honestly what I'm starting to think. As Mark said in the Scoutcast too, i'd much rather have 15 players who are all relatively expensive than have to downgrade a few to get Kun in.

If I do end up getting him in it'd be downgrading Sanchez or KBD which I wouldn't be too happy about.

To justify the cost to the rest of the team he has to do an awful lot.

It's hard to imagine him playing all of the Xmas calendar, whereas you CAN imagine Sanchez doing that. I'll just go with one and it'll prob be Sanchez. I know he's tired but after this week the fixtures are nor SUN vil and I see damage!

There are lots of cheaper, on-form strikers with good fixtures at the moment - so Im happy to go without Aguero for the time being. At this stage I plan to bring him in at around GW16/18 - but I also have a plan to get him earlier if he hits top gear before then.

    WC Defence Plan :

    GK : Butland - Hennessey*
    DEF : Van Dijk - Moreno* - Shawcross* - Souare* - Simpson*

    1. I don't think I'll bench either of Van Dijk or Moreno, so no rotation partner for them.

    2. The interest lies in a double GK-DEF double up, but since it looks kind of crazy, so some thoughts on that please.

    3. Simpson is the bench fodder who actually rotates with Van Dijk, but don't think that'll be any good, any other option I should opt for ?

      Yeah, fair comments.

      There are 3 reasons others are being preferred;

      1) Others in that price bracket are performing consistently
      2) Sturridge will under consideration next week when the nice run begins
      3) he's been a bit in-out with niggles

A definite differential that could pay off tho. Good luck!

Cant argue with any of your points - he'd definitely be a bit of a punt given the other options that are kicking about. I guess Im just surprised that he's getting less mentions than the others. He's a pretty consistent FPL performer and explosive on his day.

      I like B.

I'm also considering the part in brackets in D

Not sure about getting Kun just yet.

I think D is the best option moving forward. Aguero can wait another day

Thing with D is I'd have to take multiple hits or wait a fair few weeks for Aguero, which is putting me off.

      Hi Jinswick.

Of those, I like B the most.

Bony obviously needs to go - but Im not convinced that Giroud (Walcott factor) or Vardy (fixtures) are a good straight swap. (Would you consider Benteke?)

I also think that KDB is likely to benefit from having Aguero and Silva back - so I wouldn't be in a hurry to lose him. Kolorov is the better option to free up money, imo, because of his rotation risk.

        Cheers AB,

I think it sort of boils down to whether I want Aguero soon ish. With A I can get him for free next week. B needs a -4 and D a -8.

Benteke from next week looks a good option also - could do C with Pelle -> Tekkers next week. Quite a few decent differentials there.

Yeah, you're right - you need to jump one way or the other with Aguero. Personally, I like the alternative attacking options that are available at the moment (and don't especially like MCIs fixtures) so I'm going to wait for a few weeks before I move for Kun.

          How's the season going generally?

Pretty meh season so far - about 200k ish OR. How about you?

You fancy Kane over the next 3? WHU, CHE, wba doesn't look that easy on paper to me, but he is on form.

Giroud is also on form and I prefer his short term fixtures I think. wba, nor, SUN.

I'm really quite tempted with C - Bolasie has 2 great fixtures and I think I want Aguero straight away.

            Hmmmm

I like Kane a lot - but I'm happy to wait a week and see how he goes against WHU. At this stage I am planning to bring in either him or Benteke next week (for Pelle). I hadn't really considered Giroud - but might have a look at him as an option too (although the Walcott factor makes me weary).

I've had a pretty decent start this season - hovering around 4k at the moment -although Im on a run of 4 straight red arrows which isn't too flash!

Yeah, Giroud would likely be a stop gap for Kane if I go that route. Kane's fixtures from GW16 onwards are excellent (and Wally will likely be challenging Giroud by then).

I think your first task should be to decide your Aguero plan. Once you are comfortable with that, the rest of your decisions will be easier.

I still like option B if your happy to watch and wait with Aguero for a few weeks (which is my strategy).

If you want Aguero immediately option C looks good.

                  Good luck!

For people buying Aguero next week, is it for free or for a hit?

I can get him for free. But I'm choosing to save my FT instead 😀

For a hit. Not getting him next week if he doesn't play this weekend though.
