Just minutes after the final whistle blew on Gameweek 21, Jonty, Andy and myself braved the airwaves to pick the bones out of our meagre midweek tallies.

Brought back down to earth by a decidedly lacklustre floodlit affair, we rouse ourselves to debate the Aguero armband, the rapidly increasing speed of the Payet bandwagon and the theories behind the stuttering United backline.

We even make our dedication to the departed David Bowie, before quickly ushering out our disappointment of the Gameweek just past by previewing the one that lies ahead.

        Not hugely. Watched a few of their games and they looked solid enough to me, that's why I brought in Schmeichel 2 weeks ago. I did check these stats but decided I liked what I had seen.

        Perhaps this rotation won't work but it looks okay for me as a non-Butland owner.

      im not so certain of playing any keeper against watford. as a long-term ighalo owner i know the damage he can do. i think its silly to think of anything as definite in the longer term as form changes (i.e. united not scoring, chelsea defence failing, west ham going from top attack to worst, etc.)

      I hear you Shifty. I did the same thing...I think the Carroll move was a good risk and i couldn't just get Ighalo since my rivals already have him and I'm chasing.

      I think it is important now to not make another mistake by going cheap again...if forced I think a punt on Deeney is a good idea (you'll probably agree with me and thus we should both stop punting)...so why not go big with Kane/Luk/Kun up top!!...Then if you do want a cheapie again in the future you can drop one of them and go back to Vardy later. That's what i'm going to do. I'm going to bench Carroll for now, probably getting Payet which I should have done instead last week, and then get rid of Carroll later instead of taking a hit. Good luck.

    I have the following team:

    Butland (Spiegel)
    Smith, Zouma, Dawson (Bennett, Delaney)
    KDB, Mahrez, Özil, Alli (Arnautovic)
    Agüero, Lukaku, Kane

    I have 1 FT and 0.3 ITB.

    I am tempted to do Zouma --> Spurs defender (Walker or Dier).

    However, I am in doubt whether to save my transfer in order to be able to get Payet in somehow in next round without taking a hit involving shipping Arnautovic and Zouma/Alli dependent on their performance (it is also possible that I will do a straight swap with KDB dependent on his performance against CP).

    Any advice or comments are appreciated. Thanks!

        Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I used AOA in the last round.

        Mahrez has a selling price of 6.5, so I would rather replace him with Arnautovic (probably). THe problem is that I need two transfers to move in Payet unless I replace him with KDB. So there is an immediate expected return from doing Zouma to a Spurs defender. However, the exptected value of having to transfers in the next round might be higher.

      Not necessarily, completely depends on your team. I did Arnautovic to Payet, but I'm saving my other FT. If your team contains Gareth Barry, Hazard and Coquelin, then yes, it's madness.
