Have we fallen hook, line and sinker? After taking a beating by a cast of talent sacrificed in our Gameweek 33 Wildcards, it certainly feels we’ve obliviously wandered over a trapdoor and slammed back down to earth.

We’re back up to full strength in the ScoutCast as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me to compare the bruises inflicted by our Gameweek 33 refresh. We endevour to remain optimistic, clinging to the hope that the Gameweek 34 bench boost chip will deliver and help us balm the damage from a disastrous weekend.

Judging by the line of questioning from the community, we’re not the only ones smarting. The four of us pick through your bout of queries, before looking ahead the weekend and the Gameweek that could yet revive our seasons.

    Correct me if I'm wrong. Few Liverpool related question

    - Coutinho should be pretty safe option for gw34 but gw36 & 37 could be problem due to Europa league semis?

    Liverpool fixtures:

    Semi final 1st leg 28th of April
    Swansea (a) 30th of April
    Semi final 2nd leg 5th of May
    Watford away 7th of May

    - Is Coutinho better option than Firmino when Origi or Studge plays upfront?

        Going purely on the basis that gives me most fixtures in the short term that makes sense (the further into the future the fixtures are the less certain we can be of fitness, rotation, etc.) but I can't get away from the fact it's Andros Townsend playing for one of the worst teams to grace the PL 🙁

      Who would you have played for GW35 if Lennon wasn't injured?

        I had a move pencilled in of Smalling and Lennon to PvA and a Chelsea midfielder if one looked nailed (unlikely) or Khazri. Would have given me 11 in GW35 and 10 DGW players in GW37.

        All in theory of course - I knew rotation/injury would change things.

          Townsend looks good to me - I actually tried to squeeze him into my WC team.

          But looking at my own plans it looks like I only got Mitrovic to have a GW35 player. Might have been better fielding 10.

      FWIW I'm going Lingard. Returns haven't been great as of late but goals all but guaranteed against Villa and a Palace side I expect to rotate before the semi final.

      The frustrating thing is as I want Martial and Smalling too I'm having to take -8 to do so.

          “At the time Bony was injured so we has just Kun as a striker so any problem that Kun had during January and February we had no strikers.
          “We had to put Kelech on the list but I think Samir Nasri has a lot of duty to do for our teams to try and continue fighting in the Premier League.

      Does past experience indicate future performance? For Liverpool challenging for Europe right now I am inclined to believe that the more they have played in the past (for clear first teamers), the more likely they are to be rested. So the fact that Coutinho didn't play GW33 and Firmino was subbed out early in GW33 and for Europa would actually be a positive thing.
