Dugout Discussion – Leicester vs Swansea

Leicester City take on Swansea City at the King Power Stadium, without the pace and tireless industry of striker Jamie Vardy. The Foxes are in the midst of an eight-match unbeaten run, while the Swans were humbled by Newcastle United in their most recent clash.

Although only four teams mustered fewer attempts than Leicester (41) across their previous four outings, the East Midlanders topped the field for big chances (13). The league leaders delivered on the defensive front, too, allowing just two goals while registering three clean sheets. Only Manchester United lay claim to more clean sheets in home fixtures than the Foxes (12 compared to eight), which bodes well for the hosts’ chances of silencing Swansea.

The Swans managed four goals and the fourth-fewest shots on target (11) over their previous four matches. Casting further doubt on their capacity to breach Leicester’s rearguard, the Welsh outfit chart joint-third-bottom for big chances (16) since Gameweek 20. Even without Vardy, the Foxes’ attack will be encouraged by the fact that Swansea have conceded the sixth-most goals in away ties (27).

Hi....what strikers are people looking at for dgw37?

I already have kane Kun Defoe.

Not keen on caroll as already have payet and lanzini

Can't see any options apart from lukaku....

What do people make of sturridge chances of playing both games in 37?

He will no doubt be rested for 38 though if they get to the final......thanks

I'd thrown Firm into the mix along with Studge, Payet, Carroll.

Form will surely play a part so will just have to take a view.

Payet might come back with a bit more vigour after a little rest.

Chasing in my ML, down about 40 points. How's this plan?

For Week 36: Sturridge, Iwobi, Tomkins --> Defoe, Firmino, Cresswell (-8)

Week 37: Kane, Bolasie, Sakho --> Carroll, Payet, PvA (-8)

Would probably be looking at Carroll or Defoe for triple captain in GW 37. Daft?
Also considering taking another -4 to get Mignolet in. (Have Forster, Robles.)

Rival will have Kane, but I will have his Aguero, Alli, and Firmino covered, then punting on Carroll and Payet. His third forward is currently Vardy but we'll see if he makes some changes for week 36 since he still has his wild card.

    27 (-12) Rose, Alli, Kane (C) left.

Positive I did 3 points profit my last minute hits. Juhuuuu...

Wouldn't take any Chelsea, myself. Would prefer not to take chances with any Pool, but there is a paucity of good DGWers--will probably chance one, myself. Not convinced enough about Leicester's clean sheets against upcoming tough fixtures to get Schmeichel over DDG.
