The ScoutCast – Episode 191 – Penultimate

One more Gameweek. One more ScoutCast. The final whistle has almost blown on a remarkable season but we’re determined to fully exploit the final throws.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we open a bumper 80-minute show with our dedication to Leicester City’s extraordinary title win. We then quickly shift to take on another raft of community questions as thoughts turn to Gameweek 37’s double fixtures.

We run the rule over the protagonists, assessing West Ham’s assets, Eden Hazard’s renaissance and even make an attempt to find a reason to make a late investment in Norwich City. Then necks are put on the block as we review the weekend fixtures, coming clean on our current double Gameweek transfer and captaincy plans.

The ScoutCast is first aired live on our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get a heads up on future broadcasts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    A- Aguero, Alli, Fosu-Mensah, Wolly -> Defoe, Hazard, Cresswell, PVA (-12)

    or

    B- Kane, Sanchez, Alli, Fosu-Mensah, Wolly -> Defoe, Hazard, Willian, Cresswell, PVA (-16)

    I'm 30pts behind ML with my BB left if anyone is wondering about the crazy hits

    Bench one of A) Mahrez, B) Sanchez or C) Lanzini-ez

      Sanchez

      Leicester has already secured the title, so Mahrez may even finally get rested. But if he plays, I reckon he's more likely to score against poor Everton defence than Sanchez at Etihad.

    A) Coutinho / Monreal / KDB ---> Willian / Smalling / Hazard (-8).

    or

    B) Coutinho / Monreal ----> Cresswell / Fabregas (-4).

    Coutinho won't play more than 30 minutes this weekend based on recent history and will likely miss GW38 as well, so for me, he's actually a higher priority OUT ironically than KDB who should play despite just the one game.

    Fabregas looked up for it the past few games, as of course did Hazard, and Willian is still on free kicks/corners so one of those three would be nice for the remaining few fixtures. I do wonder if Fabregas will get banned though for his actions in the tunnel...

      I am most likely going to - Europa league final is on a Wed. after season finale on a Sunday - so he is definitely out for GW38, and most likely limited to 0-30 minutes this weekend, so it is one 90 minute game vs Chelsea out of 2 gameweeks... in my estimation.

      No, this is the prime time to play the aerial threat and secure the much needed 3 points. Hammers can still make it to the CL qualifiers, but can't skip a match if they want to. Now it's all out for each and every match.

      True. EL is a second level competition and should not be awarded with a place in CL. But that's probably the only way to get the top league teams to take it seriously in the case that they find themselves in the knockout rounds and are not likely making it through their domestic league route. And as long as they keep that tournament going in this formate, they must do tricks like this to prevent it from becoming the complete joke that it was for some while.
