Dugout Discussion – Belgium vs Wales

Friday evening treats us to the second quarter-final of Euro 2016 as Belgium go head-to-head with Wales for the right to face Portugal in the last four.

Marc Wilmots’ side arriving in fine form after dismantling Hungary 4-0 in the Round of 16. Certainly, the underlying numbers justify Belgium’s position as favourites for the 8pm kick-off – they scored more goals than any other side and also led the way for shots on target over the first four rounds of fixtures, suggesting Wayne Hennessey could be in for a busy evening between the posts.

Belgium also roll up on the back of three successive clean sheets, though will need to make do without the suspended Thomas Vermaelen, who collected a second yellow against The Magyars last time out, whilst Jan Vertonghen has been sidelined with ankle ligament damage.

Wales, though, will be no pushovers. Chris Coleman’s side have scored just one goal less (seven to eight) than the Red Devils and sat joint-third for attempts on target over the first four matches.

Their hopes may ultimately depend on Gareth Bale tonight. Joint-top scorer for the tournament, the Real Madrid man also leads the way for attempts on target and looks the man most likely to upset the odds and steer Wales into the last four.

Aye, he'll probably make a bad challenge at some point out of frustration. Lads just poor right now.

but if he had been booked like he should have been that next dodgy challenge would take them to 10 men..

Cech Bellerin Gabriel Koscielny Monreal Coquelin Xhaka Cazorla Ozil Sanchez [Cavani, Jovetic, Higuain, Milik...]

          IMO.

Coq + Xhaka is too defensive for me, and likely too defensive for Wenger.

                Xhaka Ramsey
                Sanchez Ozil Cazorla

                IMO.

                    Absolutely.

Mustafi looks to be on the move, Marquinho's isn't first choice, other centre backs we could target, so no excuse.

Striker a little bit more difficult, but to go another window without buying one would be a disaster.

                    Not for me.

He'd be better in a 433, and he's not getting a look in in the front 3 in that team.

But it's a squad game, so no worries.

the arrogance of media, players and some fans.
Compare brit coverage of each team, it's madness.
The abuse the Welsh got from the English after they beat us is another reason

thnx all. Scotland am aware of the england-scotland rivalry (as seen w murray etc)

but would have thot Wales, with pretty much all the players playing alongside each other in the Premier league, there would be one cheering for the other.
The people of wales then majority do not want england to win
            hence
            now
            1. most of england does want wales to win
            or
            2. does not want wales to win? thnx

Conte, I know he's as loyal as you get, but can you please splash some money on williams and bring him to the bridge?

Was a better player than this lot though plus no England manager solved the problem of him and Gerrard in the same team..The rest of the England team round him were also rubbish .

What should I do with this risk free bet?

Both teams to score. £23.00 returns £48.30! SUCCESS
Wales 1-2 Belgium. £23.00 returns £207.00! STILL IN GAME

Should I cash out for £41.40 on the Wales 1-2 Belgium bet? Or would you let it ride considering it is a risk free bet? (I get my money back if it does not hit)

Someone said a few weeks back that if you cash out these risk free bets several times you won't get the offers anymore.

If you are an overall long term winner who works to strategies they will pick this up and not be so willing to give you offers.
