Before we profile the best picks for your eight-player DraftKings line up let’s take a look at the matches taking place tonight across Groups E to H.

In Group E, Tottenham Hotspur travel to Bayer Leverkusen where in-form Son Heung-Min spent two years before the move to North London. The South Korean was utilised as a sub in the weekend draw at West Brom, indicating that Mauricio Pochettino sees him having a crucial role to play in Germany.

Real Madrid are heavy favourites at home to a Legia Warsaw side that lost 6-0 in their last away match in Group F to Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile, the German club visit Lisbon having failed to win their last three matches – a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid was followed by defeat to Bayer Leverkusen and a draw with Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Leicester City appear to be focusing on staying top of Group G after losing 3-0 to Chelsea in the league. Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani started on the bench against the Blues so should be fresh for the visit of a Copenhagen side that have kept four successive clean sheets in the league.

Juventus lead Group H on goal difference, with a 4-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb following a goalless draw with second-placed Sevilla. The Italian Champions are clear favourites against a Lyon side that have lost three out of their last four in all competitions.

Group E

CSKA Moscow v AS Monaco

Bayer Leverkusen v Tottenham Hotspur

Group F

Sporting CP v Dortmund

Real Madrid v Legia Warsaw

Group G

Leicester City v FC Copenhagen

Club Brugge v Porto

Group H

Dinamo Zagreb v Sevilla

Olympique Lyonnais v Juventus

Here are some of the most exciting targets to consider for the Champions League matches this evening:

D – Felipe – Porto – $3,900

A threat at set-pieces, the Brazilian scored against Roma in qualification and has notched a league goal against Sporting Lisbon. Priced very favourably, the centre-back could pick up points at both ends of the pitch in the road trip to Club Brugge.

D – Sergio Escudero – Sevilla – $5,000

The Sevilla defence have kept back-to-back clean sheets so far in Group H, promoting their defensive assets. Left-back Sergio Escudero supplied six crosses last time out to help accrue a 17-point haul against Lyon and boasts some impressive underlying defensive stats in La Liga.

D – Dani Alves – Juventus -$6,500

A goal and assist against Dinamo Zagreb, as well as 17 crosses across two UCL appearances, means we’re considering including the ex-Barcelona defender, despite the hefty price tag.

M – Toni Kroos -Real Madrid – $7,900

The German created eight chances over the first two Matchdays, and Luka Modric’s injury makes his passing range even more important for the Spanish side. Real should guarantee goals against Legia Warsaw, and since the midfielder served up two assists against Betis at the weekend, pairing him with Cristiano Ronaldo looks a worthy strategy.

M – Thomas Lemar – Monaco – $7,600

The youngster scored a goal against Spurs and has impressed in Ligue 1 of late, scoring three goals in five outings. A share of corner duties should bring points from crosses, a crucial part of the scoring system in DraftKings.

M/F – Son Heung-Min/Erik Lamela – Tottenham Hotspur – $7,800/$7,900

Son has scored five goals in seven appearances this term and looks guaranteed to lead the line having started on the bench at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

It could also be another chance for Lamela to shine, given that the Argentine has assisted both of Spurs’ goals this in their European campaign so far.

F – Islam Slimani -Leicester City – $8,200

Another asset benched on Saturday, the Algerian is kinder on the budget than Jamie Vardy ($8,800) and Riyad Mahrez ($9,400) for tonight’s clash. Slimani proved to be decisive for the Foxes last time out in Europe, scoring the winner against Porto to make it three goals in five appearances.

F – Andre Silva – Porto – $8,000

The Portuguese forward has netted three times in the last two league matches and registered four goals for his country during the international break. In that form, he looks good value against a Club Brugge side that have shipped seven goals over the opening two Group G matches.

F – Paulo Dybala – Juventus – $9,800

The Argentinian has also scored three in two league outings to follow the goal against Dinamo Zagreb on Matchday 2. Across 12 appearances in all competitions, the forward has had 35 shots on goal and registered 46 crosses to earn 12.8 FPPG on DraftKings.

F – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – $10,100

A late leveler at home to Hertha Berlin on Friday evening took the Dortmund forward’s tally to six goals in as many appearances. The German outfit have netted eight times in two Champions League clashes and Aubameyang looks their man in form away to Sporting Lisbon.

How are people fitting KDB into their front 8 currently if at all?

I think the best route here would be to have Sanchez and KDB in mid and Costa/Lukaku up top. With all three I am afraid the rest of the team would suffer too much no?

        My front 8 is:

        Allen, Capoue, Firmino, Sanchez, Walcott
        Aguero, Costa, Lukaka.

The only way i can see him working is to get rid of either Sanchez or one of Costa / Lukaku.

        So difficult at this stage.

Nothing wrong with defense. Mustafi, Williams/Morgan/Lovren, Holebas, Pieters, Amat is enough when CS are scarce.

No idea if Allen can maintain his form but thats the only way you fit Kun, KDB and Alexis in a team.

        Heaton (4.7)/Pickford (4.0)
        Smith (4.7)/Pieters (4.4)/Holebas (4.5)/Friend (4.5)/Amat (4.1)
        Walcott (7.8)/Allen (4.9)/Sanchez (11.3)/Coutinho (8.3)/KDB (10.6)
        Costa (10.2)/Aguero (13.1)/Diomande (4.6)

Considering defences are not good this season, I don't have any premium defender...

Thinking about cash out on Capoue to upgrade this defense:
Valencia, Williams, Holebas, Evans, Amat - 2FT, 0 idb

    A) Williams -> Clyne
    B) Valencia -> Mustafi
    C) Capoue -> Allen and rotate with Snodgrass, defense is ok
    D) Evans to 3.9 and Williams -> Vertonghen, keep Capoue for now.

Is Coutinho worth the extra cash and (-4) over Lallana in this long run of good fixtures for Liverpool till Christmas? Can he outscore Lallana by say 20 points or so?

I'd still prefer Lallana. I think he can match Coutinho's points at a cheaper price.

If Lallana plays this GW I'm swapping him for Mane for sure.
Having a great season, his cameo last night was the best thing about Liverpool's game.
Very much doubt Coutinho will outscore him by that much if at all.

      1. Karan14
        • 8 Years

Yeah but Coutinho looks like their best player when playing on the left side of False 9. Not sure if Lallana can keep up with his points.

Would the extra cash you save be put to better use?

It's all well asking if one player will out score the other but if you can use the cash difference to make a significant upgrade elsewhere then sometimes it's better with the cheaper option

I didn't think so at first, but it looks to me like Lallana is worth every penney. Pretty important to the team and Liverpool looked a lot worse before he came on yesterday.

And I think he's slightly less prone to rotation than the South American boys due to their long flights.

Thinking of getting Shaqiri in as a punt, what do people think?

Hull's defending was stunningly bad vs Bournemouth and have conceded 17 in their last 4 so could do well.

Given the Byram / Arbeloa injuries, is it worth getting rid of Antonio from a draft league?

It would be Antonio ------> Arnautovic

Worth is in the long run?

Stoke City assistant manager Mark Bowen has backed midfielder Joe Allen to continue his goalscoring form.

Allen, 26, took his Premier League tally to four goals for the season, scoring twice in the 2-0 win over Sunderland.

The Wales international only netted four league goals in four seasons with Liverpool, but plays a more attacking role for Stoke.

"Why can't he get a double figure of goals?" fellow Welshman Bowen said.

"Without putting too much pressure on him, I don't see it ending too quickly.

"He'll keep doing the things that he's doing now right through the season.

"He's played that anchor midfield role, protecting the back four and he reads the game well there.

"But the energy and industry that he gives, sometimes when he's just sitting there, can be wasted. Why not use that industry that he's got."

      He's a bit of a Ramsey/Llallana type player I think. I don't see why people wouldn't see him as that 7th attacker - at 4.8 it's a steal, and with Stoke's fixtures..

I am just hoping it doesn't bit me in the behind.

Better option than Snoddy, Chadli, Puncheon etc IMO.

I could be very wrong here, but I don't see it at all... Arnie and Shaquiri before Allen surely. The price is of course appealing. But he is never going to be more than just occupying that 5th mid spot...

Downgrade Capoue (always benched) -> Coquelin (or other 4.3 fodder) to fund Sterling -> Mane for -4?

Not Coq - you might want three Arses at some point.

      I don't see why not.

Made the switch from Ibra to Lukaku last night:

Tadic to Walcott worth a -4?

    Grant
    Bellerin Pieters Amat
    Sanchez Tadic Lallana Snodgrass
    Kun Lukaku Benteke
    (Pickford, Capoue, Smith, McAuley)

Yes, Arnie/Allen, Son or Coutinho would be good replacements too. Tadic is so very frustrating to own, amazing stats, but it never seems to amount to big points, shipped him this week.

Yep looked at Coutinho, great option. Rather the Arsenal double up for the next 2 than Liverpool though i thin. Will reconsider for GW11. Can see Pulis borrowing Jose's bus from last night at the weekend

Any obvious moves that I am missing?

    Courtois
    Shaw - Stones - Pieters
    Sterling - Firmino - Walcott - Bolasie - Capoue
    Aguero - Zlatan

    (Jaku - Austin - Friend - McAuley) - 1FT - £0.5

    Courtois to Cech possibly?
