Paddy Says – Gameweek 10

The clocks are going back, the days are getting darker and Hallowe’en is nearly upon us.

All the more reason to let Paddy’s odds shine a light on the autumnal gloom and make the weekend’s football more treat than trick.

Before we dunk our heads in the watery bowl of clean sheet and anytime goalscorer odds, here’s the latest enhanced offers for new customers.

Chelsea travel to Southampton full of United-bashing beans. St Mary’s is not the easiest of places to win at, but you can get 7-1 on the Blues to do just that.

Liverpool winning at Palace looks a lot likelier. The Reds have already bagged three victories on the road, so 5-1 is generous indeed.

A visit to Sunderland holds no fears for anyone at the moment, and when you haven’t lost in the league since the opening day, you’d be excused for licking your lips at the prospect. Funnily enough, that’s Arsenal’s record at the moment. And even stranger, they’re off to Sunderland. Odds of 4-1 on a Gunners victory look almost criminally generous.

And if accumulators are your game, you can get 12-1 on United, Spurs, City and Liverpool all to win.

Be sure to check the terms and conditions on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18. If you’re going to wager, always gamble responsibly.

Seeing as he’s not even necessarily fit enough to play, Marcus Rashford is an eye-narrowing 1.61 to score against Burnley, while the usual suspects – Sergio Aguero (1.66), Alexis Sanchez (1.72) and Romelu Lukaku (1.72) – have odds on the sawn-off side of short.

Foxes never quit, and they don’t travel well either. Four matches, four losses and 13 goals conceded doesn’t bode well for Leicester’s trip to Spurs, but it does make Dele Alli (2.80) look good for a third goal in four league starts.

Arsenal blanked against Middlesbrough, but it will be a major surprise if they fall short at Sunderland. Mesut Ozil scored two in three before the Boro debacle, making his 3.30 price rather tasty.

Meanwhile, over in the ‘Really Wouldn’t Be Surprised’ category we have Christian Benteke at 2.75 to stick it to the Liverpool man who sold him, while 5.00 is good odds on Andre Gray returning from under his Twittery troll bridge to score at Old Trafford.

And a hefty 6.50 price makes a flutter on Yohan Cabaye worth considering. The French international played in a more advanced role against Leicester last time out and promptly scored his first goal of the season. He may even be on penalties…

CLEAN SHEET ODDS – GAMEWEEK 10

TeamOdds
Manchester United1.50
Manchester City2.00
Arsenal2.20
Watford2.25
Tottenham2.29
Liverpool2.60
Everton2.75
Stoke City2.87
Chelsea3.00

There were nine clean sheets last weekend, which by this season’s standards is a festival of the defensive arts. This week there are some more shut-outs looking likely, and the odds reflect that all too well.

United sit at the top of our table, at 1.50, as they host a Burnley side who’ve managed just one goal in three away days so far. It’s hardly a nailed-on prospect though, not when Eric Bailly is definitely out and Chris Smalling a doubt.

As a result, you might want to look elsewhere. You can get 2.00 on Man City, but they’ve kept just the one clean sheet all season and, you know, John Stones.

So Arsenal (2.20) look the likeliest of the short-odds sides. They’ve blanked three of their last four league opponents and face a Sunderland attack currently displaying all the menace of a Mamma Mia convention.

Chelsea, at 3.00, also look good value. A trip to Southampton is tougher than a Chuck Norris box set, but the Saints have only scored more than one goal in a home league match once this season and Antonio Conte’s three at the back system looked to be up to speed against United last week.

In fact, this match has more than a hint of 0-0 about it, so Southampton at 3.60 is worth a look too.

Same. I'm hoping for something as my captaincy picks up until now have been shocking.

Sanchez should score something today but I said that before he played Middlesbrough last week.

To be fair to him though, Valdes had a worldy. He could have netted a hatty

Leaving it very late I have been that busy but in need of some help, 1FT and 0.3 cash:
    Heaton, Pickford
    Mustafi, Walker, Williams, Evans, Amat
    Mane, Walcott, Ozil, Antonio, Fletcher
    Aguero, Lukaku, Austin

    Thanks so much!

I would consider Antonio to Lallana. Maybe even Amat to Pieters if you can afford it. If not, save.
