The Big Numbers – Gameweek 22

Our first members article of the week arrives this afternoon as we take our usual delve into the previous Gameweek’s data.

We start by assessing Olivier Giroud’s impact on the goal threat of Alexis Sanchez, at a time where Chelsea’s midfield big-hitter is failing to impress. Elsewhere, Liverpool’s resurgent Brazilian, Sergio Aguero’s recent barren streak and West Ham’s new-found source of creativity all come under analysis ahead of Gameweek 23.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

If Liverpool keep on not taking advantage of their possession and superior quality of players (as it happened vs Swansea), I can see Soton going through

Rank these defenders in current and long term aspects:
    A. Spurs (Walker/Rose)
    B. Chelsea (Alonso/Azpi)
    C. Brunt
    D. Everton (Baines/Coleman)

As they're both above base price it'll make no difference. But even then, so what? They may go down 0.1 or 0.2 but the odd 0.1 on your selling value won't really make that much of a difference in the general scheme of things at this stage of the season.

Sanchez, Ibra and Aguero this week for captain choices. I think I am going with Sanchez because he is on form and WHU are not the best at the back plus have a new CD to settle in. Ibra, and United in general, haven't look sharp last couple of games and Hull have tightened up at the back IMO. Aguero has been poor but genuinely think he may score this week. However I think captaining him is a risk too far and I think his low ownership is such that I will benefit just from having him in my team.

    Thoughts?

Though if Liverpool are as ineffective offensively as they are today, having in mind Chelsea know how to defend well, Courtois could easily get a clean sheet. Chelsea have the upper hand on this, a draw at Anfield works for them too, they won't need to go all out attack

Will the quarter finals of the FA cup affect gameweek 28? Can risk almost no teams playing that gw?
