“Brutal” can be the only way to describe the way the ScoutCast collective round on the mis-fortune of a fellow FFS team member.

I say “misfortune”, in truth, Jonty, Andy and Az join me in showing little sympathy for Spencer’s predicament as we circle his catastrophic 40-point hit and take turns jabbing at the corpse of his Gameweek 36 line-up. When you end up with Victor Anichebe as your captain, it’s difficult to show any mercy.

Spencer’s plight provides some light relief before we delve into our own insecurities following Spurs’ “impossible” defeat to West Ham, as Chelsea prepare to wrap up the title race and ruin our run-in.

Your community questions quiz us on the impact of the inevitable, and, in the light of doubts surrounding Eden Hazard’s prospects, we discuss merits of a swoop for his compatriot Kevin De Bruyne.

Elsewhere, we scrape the barrel for Manolo Gabbiadini alternatives up front and pull up the sofa cushions to hunt for some value in midfield.

        I wouldn't recommend that, TS. The players going out could easily outscore the ones coming in and on top of that, there's a hit in consideration too.

      This is a topic to be discussed and discussed again.
      When Kosc' comes back:
      Will Wenger go 3xCB in the back with holding, mustafi and koscielny. Then Gibbs looses his spot to Monreal I suppose.
      Or he could leave it as it is with a straight swap taking holding out for koscielny.
      I put Gibbs in my team personally, knowing that wenger is kind of rather fond of gibbs. And can finally fit him into a starting 11.
      It's a gamble.
      Sorry I can't say one or the other.

        Do you know who played as the "last man" in the CB pairing in 4 atb? Was it Mustafi? Think there might be a clue in there..

        If Mustafi plays CB, Kosc comes in at LCB then (Kosc has been playing LCB and Mustafi RCB all season). This could mean Monreal LWB and HOlding keeping his place over Gibbs.

        If Koscielny plays as the main CB, I'd expect Mustafi to play LCB, which would mean Monreal and Gibbs on the left.

          If I had to guess I would say Holding stays in there for his aerial presence and Monreal goes back to the wing. But you just never know with this one.

            There's one way I can hedge this..

            Gabriel and Chambers to Gibbs and Holding (-8).

            One of them has to get both, unless Wenger specifically wants to troll me. 😆

          Interesting this.
          I think they may line up 3 CB At the back
          Holding RCB,
          Koscielny CCB,
          Mustafi RCB
          Leaving Gibbs out, Monreal as the preferred LWB
          And Bellerin as RWB, if the Ox is still injured.
          This is all speculation, its very risky putting either Holding or Gibbs in our squads.
          I think I may of screwed up with Gibbs.
          At least I've got Gabbidini (lol) first off the bench if gibbs is a total no-show

            I just hope they leave Monreal on the left of this back 3, its worked up until now.
            Maybe its holding who will loose his spot.
            After all he is the less experienced. Gibbs was favourite left back a few seasons ago

      Great squad. I'd leave the midfield just as it is. Gabbi seems the makeweight unless you fancy him in this DGW?

      I've been considering Giroud, but I have Baines I could sell that would free up funds, plus Giroud isn't nailed.

      As you have BB, I think Alli + Sane out score Albright and KdB. Maybe just differ your captain pick?
