The ScoutCast – Episode 228 – Countdown

The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

    Could go a 4.0 defender to improve but as I'm going 2 strikers, I want as many starters as possible, and these defenders rotate reasonably well. Not 100% sure about 2 Man Utd attackers but Mhki's pre season has been very good.

    Could go Mhki > Ritchie and use 2m on the defence/get DDG. Or Mhki > Willian?

    I want to go with Lukaku & Kane as it's risky without either and easier to downgrade then upgrade them.

          Quite possibly, aye. But the Championship is an inderrated league and even the likes of Boro and Hull proved to be thorny sides early doors. Who can forget Blackpool winning 4-0 on the opening day too.

          The Championship teams aren't as hopeless as made to believe and early doors, those sides are on a high.
