It seems that every Fantasy Football manager in the land is seeking counsel.

Sergio Aguero’s 20-points has caused joy and consternation – mainly the latter – and we’re all in need of reassurance and solutions. 

The ScoutCast crew are no different.

Granville, Jonty, Andy and Az join me in searching for answers, thankful for the opportunity to bounce ideas and opinion. 

Contrary to popular thinking, among the noise and chatter, we do arrive at a tentative conclusion.

All but one of us are willing to bend to Sergio’s surge in points and popularity or fall for Pep’s potential plot. We’re abstaining on the Aguero option for now and, over this 90 minutes, we’ll tell you just why.

Aguero dominates, but we have ample time to entertain other community questions, discussing Harry Kane’s latest failings, the premium defenders that warrant our trust and our cash, while Jonty is itching to take us through his handpicked bonus magnet XI.

    Do we expect Bavies and Mendy to play 90mins this weekend, 90 mins midweek and another 90mins next weekend? Wingback is a pretty intense position.

      As for Mendy, he is first choice and wasn't part of the midweek cup game so an obvious start.

      tbh I think these premium attacking goal threat is a tad overstated. They might have one or two shots in an easy game, but their respective strikers could notch up 7,8 or 9. I'm never down to cap a defender

        Yes the idea is 433 in A Vs 343 in B. Dont fancy any mids between 7-8m. Ritchie Atsu Groß and wings backs seems to be offering better value than 7m mid so far. Could obviously change

      It's crying out for Aguero. Either that or back against the leader and bring in Dann!

      Depends on how you see Lukaku going forward, I wouldn't decide based on a single weeks fixtures. My gut feeling saying a relatively lean spell coming, so I've gone A. If you fancy Kaku to keep scoring better than Kun over a period of time choose another option.

      B is a separate decision and looks a good one to me. See that one as the hit... will probably pay off over 2 weeks

        Perhaps you could have gone Chipo over Richie though then you have the option to rotate with Atsu in between fixtures

          I haven't been able to see Chupo play. It definitely crossed my mind. I like Ritchie a lot though and I think a penalty will come eventually triggering a real bandwagon when he picks up a bunch of points.

          I think Jesus starts personally. I'm going with Aguero because it's the thing to do on a wildcard, but Jesus at home is a pretty scary proposition.

    The bunting is in place, the cake has been iced, all that remains for the celebration to begin is an Aguero hat-trick to break the City scoring record.

    My biggest concern is they may suffer if Jesus does not start. Could impact performance of the team

    After updating the DS stat spreadsheet with GW5 results it came up with this:

    As you can see, there's no one team that stands out alone and it looks a close call between MCY and TOT (494DS and 454DS respectively). For me, all roads would lead to MCY assets coming to the fore especially when you consider their opponent is yet to even score in the League, let alone garner any points.

    TOT though face a resurgent West Ham side that look to be sturdier than the ship that sailed into Southampton and after finding themselves with a man overboard, still rallied to give their opponents a scare, but in the end lost 3-2

    Even the staunchest Hammers fan would condede a rating of -454 doesn't bode well but they in turn can point to their last home couple of fixtures against Spurs which have seen them unbeaten and a certain 'Arry not even finding the net.
