The ScoutCast – Episode 235 – Swingers

Careering out of the international break at speed, the ScoutCast returns in anticipation of a turning point in our seasons.

We’ve been chattering for several weeks on the much anticipated “fixture swing”, and now we’re all set to put ourselves at its mercy.

What does it mean for our Fantasy line-ups?

In truth, with multiple transfers and Wildcards at our disposal, Jonty, Andy, Luke and myself started this latest episode still seeking our own answers. Over almost 90 minutes and with your community questions providing the steer, we do our best to reach some conclusions.

We weigh up Manchester United exit plans, Liverpool’s blunted attack and Jamie Vardy’s recuperation techniques, before previewing Gameweek 8 in the usual hap-hazard style.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Maybe Azpilicueta down to Cedric or Mee. Maybe Salah down to Ramsey. Then you'll have plenty for a decent third striker.

Need a 7.5 forward to find the other two. Before his injury, Welbeck played at least 75 minutes in the first 6 matches! Surely he is at least in the picture at Arsenal. I may not start him this gameweek to gauge his involvement. Would be playing 5-3-2.

Tottenham say that this is still part of his rehabilitation as he starts to integrate himself back into the squad. He will not be ready for first team football for at least another few more weeks, meaning a likely return in November rather than October.

    Fabianski, Elliot
    Dunk, Davies, Yoshida, Monreal, Jones
    Eriksen, Coutinho, Silva, Groß, Carroll
    Kane, Lukaku, Joselu

On a wildcard but struggling. Erikson to Hazard would be nice if I could find the .9 from somewhere! Defence needs work too. Tough game

Squad depth isn’t needed if you’re considering benching Jones or his better alternatives.

Just wondering why everyone assume Aguero is more nailed than Jesus? Anyone else think both will both get rotated and get similar minutes/points over the long run?

    1. Ibracadabra
      • 14 Years
      6 years, 7 months ago

Maybe but this year Aguero has played 90 mins almost every game in 1 or 2 striker formations and Jesus has been rotated through the middle or on the wings.

    Repost:
On a WC which one of these would you chose:

    1)
    Fabianski/Foster
    Bavies/Mbemba/Ward/CEDERIC/CRESSWELL
    Silva/Sterling/Hazard/Choupo-Moting/Carrick
    Kane/JESUS/Vardy

    2)
    Fabianski/Foster/
    Bavies/Mbemba/Ward/STONES/ALONSO
    Silva/Sterling/Hazard/Choupo-Moting/Carrick
    Kane/BATSHUAYI/Vardy

In Team 1) I have Jesus whom I'm not sure how many minutes is going to play, but in Team 2) I have 3 Man City and 3 Chelsea players

Hey comrades, Would love to hear thoughts on this team:

    Fabianski/Elliot
    Bertrand-Walker-Davies (Ward, Mbemba)
    Coutinho-Haz-Eriksen-David Silva-Gross
Kane-Niasse/Ayew with the other on the bench

I'd plan to mostly play 3-5-2. This is obviously super midfield heavy but I am liking it.
