Careering out of the international break at speed, the ScoutCast returns in anticipation of a turning point in our seasons.

We’ve been chattering for several weeks on the much anticipated “fixture swing”, and now we’re all set to put ourselves at its mercy.

What does it mean for our Fantasy line-ups?

In truth, with multiple transfers and Wildcards at our disposal, Jonty, Andy, Luke and myself started this latest episode still seeking our own answers. Over almost 90 minutes and with your community questions providing the steer, we do our best to reach some conclusions.

We weigh up Manchester United exit plans, Liverpool’s blunted attack and Jamie Vardy’s recuperation techniques, before previewing Gameweek 8 in the usual hap-hazard style.

    the lack of captaincy options is a major issue(which can be fixed with Jesus to Morata, and there is a Alonso and Cout downgrade plan to get Kun in)

      You have the option for 532 or 442 so that is nice
      I think Alonso and Azpi could be golden but I can't seem to afford it.

      Captaincy will be an issue especially after this week when Kane fixtures turn.

        Yeah but that problem will be solved as soon I replace Jesus(with Kun or Morata)

        Chelsea fixtures are just too good, I want to keep Alonso and Azpi

      Have you thought about Popeski - more save points and super rot?

      Two double CHS - not a fan. Too expensive when there are cheaper alternatives about.

      I would keep to one CTY milf.

      A 4.5 fwd is a wasted space imo.

        Both the Chelsea defs aren't set in stone(though I'd love to keep)

        I do disagree on the City mids though, I feel they're both incredible value(and as I'm going to remove Jesus, I'd like to have two attackers at least)

        Of course the caveat is Pep rotation which is why I've gone with a strong first bench option

    This would get me enough funds to upgrade Atsu to Choupo eventually.
    Going to wc in week 12 anyway. Worth the hit?

      is that triple burnley i see. cant make sense of this team, if youre going to bench one of burnley defenders why not just get one from another team? u can start all 3 this week but thats about it

      then looking at burnley's away fixtures you will have to play at least one of them and on top of that u will have to play at least one of lapodo and rlc

          if we look at next week for example, u will have mee vs man city, and rlc playing in the starting xi. thats two very weak picks for next week. then u will have to bench one burnley defender at home the following week cuz u will have to start choupo. why not get someone that can play instead of mee during the burnley away games?

    For Kaku owners, what makes you keep Kaku rather than swap to Jesus?

    I think Kaku fitness better than Jesus due to Kaku only played once, and he played as subs. While Jesus played 90min two times. I know fixtures really matters, but the same situation happened last week. I picked Kane as captain due to he didn't play full time at UCL, while Kaku full.

                I also think it has contributed to increase in FPL players., improvement in casuals and maybe, just maybe less relevance to being on this site. Does not bother me but pissed off a lot of mini leaguers' in SA.

      I like him. Had him since the start. I'm going to keep him for a couple more weeks as they do run everything through him which I like. However if he becomes the assister to the assister (which I fear is happening) then I'll ship him to Richarlson or someone like that.

          No bad, he looks fantastic whenever I watch Brighton. Last 2 games he seemed to be sitting a little deeper a bit like KDB has been. However could just be the way I was watching. He created the most chances of anyone in the Bundesliga last season and that was on a crap team. For the money I'm hoping he will be a season keeper that flies under the radar. I'm happy to have him at the moment for sure.

      Yeah, was kinda struggling on a 4.9m defender and so started looking elsewhere.

      A West Ham defender or Cedric if he drops is pretty much it right now. The rest are 4.5m defs from Brighton/Newcastle. Also, maybe consider Holding from Arsenal.
