A third of the season is almost done, and Burnley’s defence is riding high as a source of Fantasy returns.

After a surprising debut campaign in which a recurring series of defensive heroics – particularly at Turf Moor – saw the Clarets survive in 16th place, their sophomore season has been altogether more impressive.

Sean Dyche’s side sit in seventh place – tied on points with both Liverpool and Arsenal –a nd have conceded fewer goals than all but the top three of Manchester City, Manchester United and Spurs.

Can their defence continue to perform at such a high level throughout the campaign? And who among their array of options looks best placed to prosper from this upturn in solidity?

      I'd do C.
      You have enough City assets in midfield, and Morata has such good fixtures on the horizon. Also, Mee has been soaking up BPS recently in a defence which looks increasingly solid.

    Who do you think will start, Jesus or Aguero? I really need to sort my team out right now:

    Fabianski, Elliot
    JONES, LASCELLES,Maguire(Otamendi, Rosenior)
    Gross, D.Silva, Eriksen, Richarlison(Carroll)
    Kane,Morata,Jesus

    0.3 ITB and 2 FT. My plan was to do (A) but now I'm considering other transfers because of my defenders (But I dont want to transfer Jones/Otamendi beacuse I got them cheap). If Aguero is out I think I will keep Jesus and hope that Salah doesent score big, what do you say?

    A) Jesus + Carroll --> Salah + 4.5 Forward
    B) Lascelles --> Mee/Moreno

    Got Sane.

    If I go for A both will go into the starting line-up most weeks with Groß occasionally dropping out for Niasse, Moreno or Dann.

    If I opt for B, Sterling will be in the XI but RLC will be rotated based on fixtures with Niasse, Moreno and Dann.

    What's the best route into the Spurs defence? Is it Vertonghen due to being more nailed on than Davies/Trippier/Rose/Aurier?

    With the Aguero "news" I'm now tempted to sell Jesus for Morata -4.

    Thoughts? I want Morata for the long term and think he'll do well against WBA.

    I just can't find myself to double up on Burnley defence. Rarely go with two defensive players(goalie,def) from the same team. Will Burnley really keep on getting CS?

      Probably but I find the risk too great especially for a team like Burnley. I'd only be tempted to do a defensive double up on DDG + Jones
