A third of the season is almost done, and Burnley’s defence is riding high as a source of Fantasy returns.

After a surprising debut campaign in which a recurring series of defensive heroics – particularly at Turf Moor – saw the Clarets survive in 16th place, their sophomore season has been altogether more impressive.

Sean Dyche’s side sit in seventh place – tied on points with both Liverpool and Arsenal –a nd have conceded fewer goals than all but the top three of Manchester City, Manchester United and Spurs.

Can their defence continue to perform at such a high level throughout the campaign? And who among their array of options looks best placed to prosper from this upturn in solidity?

      Most bases covered only missing kaku 🙁 but that’s more than alright given strength in depth of that squad. I would fear the benching headaches though myself

    Who would you rather have over these three fixtures?

    Was going to bring in Vertonghen next week (three transfer and -4 to spread the hit) but after Alderweireld's injury & actually reviewing the fixtures, starting to think maybe delay on Spurs purchase?

        But the way i see it is Dunk as steady player been doing the same for past fixtures, and Dann has more upside because we expect improv from CPL.

        Ffscout doesn't do its own undercover work and update team news. They update it as and when managers give news in their press conference or there's a media report of player joining or missing training. The updated ones are because those managers had their press conference already. The remaining are scheduled tomorrow.

    Finally looking at my WC team properly. Early thougths below:

    Daniels • Smalling • Mee • Moreno • Dann
    Salah • Sterling • Zaha/Ramsey • Richarlison • RLC
    Kaku • Kane • Firmino

    - Plan to do Smalling/Kaku >> Alonso/Morata in gw14
    - Ryan/Elliot is decent rotation...could do pope/elliot but they dont rotate well and i would need to transfer out Pope after gw18 (probably to hart)
    - Could also do Zaha/RLC/Firmino >> Sane/Gross/Calvin to play 3-5-2

    Want to get rid of Foster for Pope but I like to have my keepers for the long term. He has been injured for 2 months with a dislocated shoulder, surely he's back soon?
