Dugout Discussion – Watford vs West Ham

Sunday’s solitary fixture gets underway at 4pm as Watford welcome West Ham United to Vicarage Road.

The Hornets’ Richarlison is still searching for his first home goal since signing in the summer, with all four of his strikes arriving on the road.

Nonetheless, the young Brazilian – who is the most popular Fantasy Premier League asset from today’s encounter, with 18% ownership – has still supplied points against both Liverpool and Arsenal in front of his own fans.

Those holding Richarlison will be keeping a keen eye on his performance today – after next week’s trip to Newcastle has passed, Watford are braced for a run of three testing fixtures (MUN TOT bur).

West Ham roll up on the back of the worst defensive record in the opening 11 Gameweeks, having conceded 23 times.

They’ll be desperate for shoots of improvement under David Moyes, though they need to make do without injured top scorer Chicharito. The new Hammers boss hands Andy Carroll a first start since Gameweek 7 in light of his fellow forward’s absence.

It’s a sign of the visitors’ malaise that the Mexican is their only outfield player with more than 2% ownership in FPL.

And with clashes against Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal just around the corner in Gameweek 17-19, that lack of interest is unlikely to change anytime soon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Can someone help explain how it works with the rankings and the ownership of players?
Yesterday was supposed to be the day with all the highly owned players and i went up from 123,000 to 45500
Today i didn't own any players including the likes of Richarlison (18.5%) and Doucore (17.5%) and only fell from 45500 to 54000

Can we say the captaincy is the main and more important factor than ownership?

      Average went up 1 today.
Most FFSers improved with Richo/Watford defence.

        Oh that explains a lot
I got a false overhyped feeling due to their ownership over here and expected greater damage

captaincy choice is absolutely what results in green arrows and success.

If you get the captaincy right its basically on and upwards

Cause of bad choices had to take a massive -28 points this week...luckily every single player I put in delivered, ddg, walker, zaha, sane, ibe, lukaku, gray and waiting for dunk got 72 points, normal team would have had 45 so, if dunk delivers tomorrow it would mean that despite taking such a big hit I m still better off...and now team is sorted for next 2/3,no need changes..soo happy with that

risk it for a biscuit. I think youre in denial about points matching hits, but fair play for balls out the bath move.

getting some early feels before midweek games

    Elliot
    Daniels/ Alonso/ P.Jones
    Sterling/ Salah/ Silva/ Richarlison
    Kane/ Morata/ Joselu

    Foster/ Moreno/ Mee/ Chalobah

    1FT 1.3 ITB

    a) Joselu to C. Wilson (i was going to do this for a hit last week after looking at xg from previous game)
    b) Sterling to Pogba
    c) Jones to Otamendi
    d) Chalobah to RLC
    e) save

Suddenly there are several mids that would be better in my team than Aguero who will get rotated a lot starting soon (two midweek GWs coming up soon and then Christmas)... So thinking Aguero --> Niasse (is he really nailed on though??) and then I can upgrade King to any midfielder in the game... Options would be Sterling, Coutinho, Pogba, and Hazard... My mid now is:

    Sane - RLC - Richarlison - King - Salah

Sterling will get rotated, but all of Coutinho, Pogba and Hazard are nailed I reckon... If I get Pogba, for instance, I'd then have 4 million in the bank to get Apilicueta for instance, or DDG, or upgrade RLC to a Sterling.... Seems too delish to ignore!!

      Kane morata niasse

Hi...Any views on having a squad with rlc and niasse?

And flipping between 352 and 343 depending on fixtures?

    Strongly considering this thanks

Pogba seems likely to 8.5m before Christmas, considering whether I should be looking at him instead of hazard then pump what's spare into a defender

Own Lukaku and kane, but would it be mad to captain sane or richarlison next week in an attempt to climb rank?
