FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Members and Non-Members Now Open

Fantasy Football Scout is pleased to announce two more Cup competitions to see us through until the end of the season.

We are launching our 14th open-to-all tournament, along with a tenth Members competition.

We are putting up £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Non-members can sign up to the open tournament here.

Our members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris and our reigning champion, A Manager Has No Name.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

While in our members cup, our winners list is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers , Acquafresca, Trigg and the current champion, Ola Svanheld.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the cup competitions work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for both Cups will take place in Gameweek 29, with the first round running in Gameweek 30.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday March 27, when we’ll stop entry and make the first round draws shortly after.

The first round will consist of 512 teams and, as usual, all the previous winners who enter will gain a bye into the first round draw, where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 29.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the open-to-all FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the members area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

You entry is only confirmed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team Id?

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number or your Gameweek History URL in the FPL id field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the qualifying round cups will be published shortly after March 27 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

What is the Gameweek Schedule?

Both these cup competitions will be played out according to the following Gameweek schedule:

FFS Cups Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 29

Round 1 – 512 teams – Gameweek 30
Round 2 – 256 teams – Gameweek 31
Round 3 – 128 teams – Gameweek 32
Round 4 – 64 teams – Gameweek 33
Round 5 – 32 teams – Gameweek 34
Round 6 – 16 teams – Gameweek 35
Quarter-Final – 8 teams – Gameweek 36
Semi-Finals – 4 teams – Gameweek 37
Final and third place play-off – 2 teams – Gameweek 38

When are the fixtures released?
The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline. The first round draw will be made and published shortly after March 27.

Prizes

Overall prizes

1st Place: £200 Amazon voucher
2nd Place: £100 Voucher
3rd Place: £50 Voucher

Do I have to enter if I’m previous winner?

Yes, because your FPL team ID will have changed, we will need to record your entry again. A a previous winner, you will be given a bye to the first round proper.

Do I need to be registered with Fantasy Football Scout?

We ask you to supply a FFScout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament. Ideally, you will already have a username with us but this is not essential to enter. You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles. You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament, should you do so without permission, or should you enter multiple teams or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament at any stage.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Am I right in saying 34 doubles will likely be saints and loser of tonight match. Along with their opponents.

Only if GW34 postponed matches are moved to midweek, Saints also have two other games that could be rearranged for midweek in GW34.

Soton can only have a DGW if Chelsea lose as they are scheduled to play them in GW34.

      Sorry I misread the question.

If Chelsea win tonight their game with Southampton in GW34 will be posponed, so Saints are unlikely to have a DGW. However United will probably have DGW's in GW34 and GW37.

If United win Saints will play Chelsea on the weekend of GW34, and probably either United or Arsenal in midweek as a DGW.
Chelsea could also have a DGW if the Watford game is rearranged for that GW rather than GW37.

Why is gabiadini getting so much love? Hes got horrible fixtures coming up. Yes I understand he has dgws and is in form but what's the point when they're bad fixtures

Someone like Deeney is more of a sensible transfer. In form and good fixture too

Just Lala -> Alli for me this week.

Hits are tempting to get rid of Brunt or Friend but I'm resisting so far.

why? Pool LOVE playing against City, who won't keep a clean sheet to them in a million years

that move is more sideways than a crab

Lallana isn't getting involved now though. Some logic to keeping Coutinho who loves city

Something not adding for for me with coutihno. Not even to make 60 minutes this weekend with them chasing the game and to be replaced by a 17 year old. Don't think he's a great option. Could be wrong though.

It's not a sideways move at all. I don't want 2 pool mids and spurs have great fixtures coming up. Thanks for your interest though.

    Foster Pickford
    Coleman Baines Alonso Lovren Pieters
    Siggy Pedro Mane Carroll N'Diaye
    Kane Llorente Lukaku

    1 FT 5.3 ITB

I've not seen anyone on here really make the case that Spurs will struggle without Kane on here yet.

Are we just assuming they're good enough to crush those in their path without their star striker, who was in absolute red hot form?

Saints will give them a real go and I'm inclined to wait and see on that fixture prior to an international break before diving headlong in to their midfield.

RVP and Kun in RVp's first season at Utd. Alternate (c) every week pretty much guaranteed at least a goal / brace.

Between the League, Europa and FA Cup, the FA Cup is United's lowest priority. I wouldn't read anything into tonight's line up.
