Dugout Discussion

Dugout Discussion – Saturday

After Man City edged past Leicester at the Etihad, we now focus our attentions on a trio of 3pm encounters.

Bournemouth’s in-form Josh King collides with a Burnley defence that’s conceded at least twice in three of their last four league matches.

Owned by 19% of FPL managers, the Norwegian has racked up 11 goals and a pair of assists in the previous 13 Gameweeks to climb into eighth spot in the midfield standings.

Sunderland play the first match of their Double Gameweek 37 as Swansea City make their way to Wearside.

In what may well be his final home outing for the Black Cats, Jermain Defoe has been captained by just over 44,000 FPL managers, with a midweek trip to the Emirates also on his agenda.

With their survival on the line, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente will be vital for the Swans today.

Still owned by 10% of FPL managers, the Icelandic international has a goal and assist in his previous three, while Llorente was snapped up by almost 44,000 new owners after netting against Stoke and Everton over the same period.

Southampton also get the first of their Double Gameweek 37 matches underway. Jack Stephens owners are left disappointed as he drops to the bench, while Manolo Gabbiadini misses out altogether as Claude Puel attempts to improve a run that has seen the Saints fail to score in four of their last five league outings.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Holding or Gibbs? Gibbs or holding, most of my thoughts over the last 3 days were about this question.

    Bought Gibbs didn't I.

    Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhh

    Next season, hurry up!

A lot out there like me who have 15 DGW BB and looks like 100 points could be a real struggle.

Sanchez and the Tottenham assets deliver and it will have been worth it

Yup the monster week I anticipated looks a long way off, but ozil and Sanchez turn it on and it could all be back on. I fear that form and history are against it though

Never used aoa and can't see when I ever will. Actually that's a lie used it the first season when mahrez was benched and I ended up with 1 point def being subbed on in his place

that 2nd w/c is the chief culprit

BB is way over rated, and AOA is more or less useless unless you have 3 injured/banned defenders.

It's been reported that Toure had Jesus triple captained on his fantasy team. That explains why he left PK for him.

San(c)hez cappers unite! I'm glad Le Donk is playing as I think that him and Alexis have a better understanding than Sanchez-Welbeck. More chance of assists. Come on Alexis get a Hatty!

Hope so, he has 53% captaincy in the top10k + some will have TC on him. It would be good with Costa, kun, lukaku and KDB failing. Jesus was the only well backed captain to do anything, although harry still has to play.

      C'mon alexis.

Next year, I'm going for a maximum of 11 DGW players with a bench boost made up of the best SGW players. No more of this nonsense.

Strange situation here. Rival 50 points ahead does not have Sanchez. I have Sanchez but not captain. Rival 50 points behind has Sanchez TC.
Not really sure what I want from Sanchez over both games.

Anyone thinking that additional chips were introduced to keep the interest of the casuals? Surely that is to the benefit of FPL and their sponsors?

IMO it's made the game more of a lottery. The more serious players can play hard all season only to fall at the GW37 hurdle due to squad rotation, teams heading to the beach etc.
