The Weekend Team News

Vincent Kompany faces a late fitness test ahead of City’s trip to Chelsea, though Gael Clichy remains unavailable. Wayne Rooney is available for United after a recent bout of tonsillitis. Nani’s twanged hamstring keeps him on the sidelines, while Sir Alex Ferguson is still uncertain as to whether Jonny Evans will be ready for the visit of QPR.

Villa welcome back Darren Bent and Eric Lichaj ahead of Arsenal’s visit tomorrow evening, while Swansea look to have hopeful Ki Sung-Yeung back in their squad, which could see Michu move up front again. Danny Graham and Luke Moore are struck by illness but Ben Davies has reportedly recovered and is available.

As the injuries rack up for Newcastle, Alan Pardew is optimistic that Papiss Cisse has a “good chance” of recovering from the thigh problem that forced him off in last night’s Europa League match with Maritimo, though Shola Ameobi is a real doubt with a groin injury. James Perch and Jonas Gutierrez have trained ahead of Sunday’s clash.

We’ve collected all this and squeezed it into our team news section and added our current predicted lineups for the weekend ahead. You can keep in touch with the very latest via our twitter feed as always.

"Kenwyne Jones could be one to come into the reckoning after recent appearances from the bench."

Does this mean Crouch to be benched.. ??
So Crouch > Fletcher/Lambert ? yay or nay?

I may miss a fair amount of points from crouch if he scores in the next 2 home games

Doubt he'll be benched just a switch to 4-4-2.

Not really Walters will simply shift to rw and before you say this will have a negative effect on his goal potential he will still be in the box for set pieces and pens so his wonderful goal threat should not diminish.

Ps to the guy above wondering whether to sell crouch, please do yourself a favour and delete your team fpl is clearly not the game for you.

    How's this for a GW13 starting XI?

    Federici
    Baines Riise Cameron
    Pienaar Cazorla Silva Maloney
    RVP Ba Jelavic

Subs: Foster | Sterling, Reid, Clyne

Thoughts? (not sure whether an EVE triple is too risky...)

    Begovic, Federici
    Hangeland, Baines, Demel, Cuellar, Boyce

      Hangeland -> Cuellar.

Save a transfer for Midweek, we should have good team news before the 7.30 deadline and then you will have 2 freebies if anyones injured or one of your biggies are rotated.

i'm considering it. their fixtures look hard and they've lost a lot of impetous this year with their play.

he could still do ok, but if you have a much punt, i;d go for it

With the amount of chances Everton create, i think Fellaini is almost fixture proof, he can certainly cause any defence in the world problems.

    in the past 5 GWs......

Pienaar is AVERAGING 1, yes ONE fantasy point per game. not 1 Point Something....1.0

Norwich have conceded a TOTAL of ONE goal. yes, one.

Sterling has averaged OVER 5 points per game.

Lambert a shade under 4 points per game.

so im still trying to figure out why benching pienaar is so strange instead of sterling or lambert. if the forms not there. and if norwich defense is making the fixture not as appealing. and the other options are producing, lambert home to a toon side whove kept only one cleanie all year, sterling away to swansea who havent sniffed a cleanie since august.

    IM BENCHING PIENAAR OK?????

I am starting to think about players i might get in for the double gameweek.

I was always thinking i would move Howard out for Mignolet, but then was thinking I have Federici. McCarthy won't be back for a while so Fed could be an option
