I'll state this again... FPL do not award assists. They are reviewed and awarded by Opta, the data provider for the game. This one, in particular, was a last touch issue and therefore, if CM did get the last touch, it would have been an Opta assist and showing in FPL, on BBC, WhoScored our members area and any service that uses Opta data. Opta reviewed and deemed that Bruno got the final touch. "FPL Towers" do not make any call on this, they can only ask for Opta to review and check, which did happen and they have better tools and angles than us at their disposal. » Read

Apologies. I just read the words and jumbled into the order that I'm used to reading 😉 Sorry about that. Too sensitive. There's no "top" figure making these kind of calls - Opta are the data provider for the game and reviews can be requested by ISM, particularly when concerning Fantasy Assists but also regular assists. This one falls into the latter category. » Read

Blimey. You haven't. It's been years. I'm just happy that you're still about and playing! » Read

Opta have footage that shows that the movement of Bruno's shoulder and back causes the deflection and spin on the ball. CM jumps for it, moves his head in the direction of the ball but apparently gets no touch. I will try to get the footage and feature it on the show on Thursday if the Producer permits. I'll see what I can do. All I can say is that the reviews that Opta do are almost forensic and, for all the tweets with clips that FPL managers post, they don't have the review tools that Opta have at their disposal. » Read

I'm actually at home tonight but I've checked in with the events and Opta have done check after check using angles and HD quality footage and they are saying no assist. They have angles and slow mo footage that Sky etc do not have - that's how they do their job - their job is football data and they take it pretty bloody seriously. Accusations that I'm involved in coming to that conclusion when I'm sitting at my kitchen table while my partner watches Nigella are very wide of the mark. I've only got involved and communicating with you guys so you can be sure that reviews etc have taken place. I'm using my evening with my family to do that and then have to read this kind of accusation. If you think I'd exert any influence for my own gain then you clearly don't know how much I care about the game and its integrity. » Read

Opta did do just that. The integrity of their data is paramount and they say no assist so it’s not in FPL, Sky or any live feed as Opta make the decision across the board on this. They don’t make that kind of call lightly and FPL check that a full review has taken place. » Read

I thought it might have come off Bruno and taken a touch off CM but Opta have better angles and equipment and they say no touch. » Read

Added to this and from my post... When addressing the situation up top, he is quoted on their official twitter... "Sergio is fit. Gabriel Jesus is fit. It is my toughest decision. There are a lot of games and they have to be ready to play well, even if it is from the bench." https://twitter.com/ManCity/status/932592580642197505 Some might say that his is nothing new but the quote does perhaps go some way to confirming that Pep is forced to make a decision on Aguero and Jesus, with no suggestion at this time that he will play both. Does this make them both a write-off, or should we still be willing to risk Aguero for the upside? » Read

I've removed the highlight but I don't see it as a major issue because the information and opinion was valid enough - we didn't make it a HT. It's a quote that could prove valuable with an opinion added - which folk may or may not agree with. Posts aren't always highlighted on "quality" but sometimes they can be subjects of interest that spark discussion. » Read

Yeah, well RMT definitely does that, though it's very close for both short and long-term for them both. As for the Watchlist, I imagine one more big return for Sane and we will flip them but, as I've said before, I just think Sterling is playing more centrally and is more likely to get scrappy tap ins. I think his goals are more sustainable in other words. » Read
