Put up your feet, pour yourself another glass of mulled wine and grab that tin of Quality Street. After all it is christmas, and after all we’ve got another match to take in as we round out gameweek nineteen just as soon as it starts.

The Dugout Discussion closes it’s door for no-one and a festive game between Arsenal and Chelsea are no exception. Just nineteen weeks down and Arsene Wenger finally gets to start his two key players – Cesc Fabregas & Robin Van Persie – together for the first time this season, while the likes of Walcott finally get a start after weeks waiting patiently on the bench.     Who do you reckon I should transfer in for GW20? My team is as follows:

    Foster, Al Habsi
    Vidic, Baines, Onuoha, Kyrgiakos, Foley
    Nani, Nasri, Van der Vaart, Brunt, Dempsey
    Tevez, Elmander, Carroll

    I was thinking of getting in Berbatov to replace Elmander (I have money in the bank), but am not sure if I should get a midfielder instead – Brunt is suspended and I just don’t trust Dempsey… Thoughts?

      I like your idea of replacing Elmander. Brunt's only out one game, but he's a solid player to have long-term (or to trade for Adam when Blackpool's DGWs arrive).

    gosh here was me thinking it be too soon to get fabregas back, looks like i need to do it sooner.

    what about nasri > fabregas
    drogba > berbatov

    any one think getting rid of drogs is bad idea, need funds for fabregas though

      My performance improved once I shipped Chelski players out a few weeks ago!

      Just said in Sky that Fabs will be out cos of suspension now. Not sure how long for.
