The ScoutCast – Episode 69 – Bye Bye Baby

With a stork delivery just around the corner, I drag Mark, nappies and all, into the studio for one more ScoutCast before the little time thief bundle arrives.

Keeping my distance, despite getting over the worst of my stinker that had me bed-ridden last week, I find time to lament my latest “miffed”, torment Mark about his belated sale of Victor Moses and gloat just a little about closing the mini-league gap via Clint Dempsey’s haul.

The regulars are all present and partially correct, delivered in husky tones, fuelled by Lemsip. Other cold cures are available. Other chaotic Fantasy Football podcasts aren’t.

Evans is good from GW28... I'm remembering this off the top of my head which shows how sad I am and how much I study it.. lol... Cahill isn't nailed on, so forget him unless you're way behind

ya you're right gmwk 28, im going through the 5/6 options im thinking of @ the back & i seem to have at least 3 good fixtures each gameweek. j.evans it is over cahill, thanks. its weird i was full sure i'd be getting rid of enrique with his upcoming fixtures (spurs, man utd & ars in the next 4) but his fixtures pick up then & he fits in to the team nicely

i was thinking the same, i was going to get ward in to free up cash but have a look @ enrique's fixtures 28 to 36. i think if you don't mind benching him a few times he could be ok still.

*i know there are better options than ward but he good/ok returns for a 4.5m defender

I think with Enrique, it's a profit/loss situation - if you got him at 5, then not an entirely bad idea to keep. I got him at 5.7, so binningtons for him. Evans makes sense, Cahill will too at 5.2 if he's a starter. Ward is mental!

ya i got enrique @ 5m, i don't mind making a loss on him, i just don't want to then go & buy him back in 4/5 gameweeks. cahill is such a hard call, with luiz not very solid he should get a good few runs & also with jt's trial coming up he may get a chance? i see you still have your wc, any plans?

@ the mo im thinking rvp, aguero & graham, i will get rid of graham after the wigan game, i know there isn't much love for graham with other budget options around but i think he could do well.

i'm looking @ bae out but now looking @ his & enrique's fixtures there is only 4 games where i would probably bench either of them between now & the end of the season, similar enough fixtures.

Dont know, but I would get two players to man mark messi. Not partial mark him, follow him everywhere and take my chances with the rest of the team. Barca Back line is high so look for balls over top as much as possible. And bloody use set pieces to my advantage. Barca not best at defending corners if you can isolate pique, puyol from headers.

Yeah I see Stoke conceding, I suppose it's just the Huth goal threat -- especially after he notched a goal and assist today. Surman is another alternative - all average options. This week, captain choice will make or break me.

To rely on a defender to come up trumps with a goal is always high risk imo. One goal every 7-8 games at best?

My Blackburn Rovers mate is telling me Shearer is the best player the Premier League has ever seen.... I've told him I disagree and that Henry, Petere Smic and Cantona come before him.

    He still won't have it.

Does depend how you quantify 'best' - by goals, trophies, a combination of both...? Shearer, with few trophies, has little to show in his cabinet. He was a great 'goalscorer' imo.

    good evening

    Lindegaard (Sorensen)

    Richards, Enrique, Senderos

    Silva, Bale, Dempsey, Sessegnon, Dyer

    RVP, Aguero

    (Sturridge, Santon, Huth)

plan is to make sure JEvans starts, swap Enrique out for him.

then sturridge->ba next gw, ans JEvans move helps sessegnon->valencia week after that.

    good plan then?

José Mourinho has let it be known that he'll be leaving Real at the end of the season - for a Premier League job. The info comes from Duncan Castles, who has been used before by Mourinho to get information out.
