The Numbers Game – ICT Form Analysis

Just three more days to go till the curtain draws on the domestic campaign, then. As many Fantasy managers look to load up on more assured Fantasy assets ahead of Sunday’s deadline, plenty more are in the position where differentials are needed for that vital edge in the final Gameweek of the season.

This latest article for members takes a look at the top ten players per position over the last four Gameweeks in accordance with our very own ICT Index averages. Also using the Opta data available, we dig deep in order to highlight some overlooked potential perhaps worth considering this weekend.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

The last week of the season must be the absolute worst time to do a hit since you don't have the fail safe of recovering the hit points over a few game weeks

When you put it like that, yes it does look bad.

But it can also contain absolute thrashings and goal thrillers which can pay off the hits 😛

And of course when you're at the heights you are, 4 points lost will drop you 50 places or so, 200th to 250th

    A) Gallas + Dempsey + 4 points = ?
    B) Lescott + Moses = ?

How much will A score and how much B? My guess would be A=12pts and B=15pts

RVP will obliterate everyone in pts this week. Best Differential in my humble opinion is Lampard. Will get some game time to keep fresh and takes pks. @ lampard pks with an odd goal or assist.

Liverpool had nothing to play for against Chelsea this week and look what happened and United don't need to win by a lot (if Fergie wanted to go for goal difference he would not have taken Rooney off early against Swansea he would have gone all out attack).

So darling Drenthe has taken a shot at Messi for racism. A few things strike me.

    1) Real actively dislike Drenthe because of his attitude.

    2) Everton, the club that signed him on loan, have banned him from the squad because of his attitude.

    3) Now Drenthe is returning to Real where he will likely move again, summing up a pretty sub par career for a talented man.

    4) If he was so desperately upset by these remarks then why has he not said anything about them until now? Racism would never be tolerated so why wait until he's about to go out on transfer again, it couldn't be for attention could it? 😉

Racism in the game is unacceptable and I will be very disappointed if it develops that Messi did make remarks with the intent to upset Drenthe. However, from what I've seen of the man, he is a diva who would gladly use anything to repair his damaged career, including damaging Messi's. I'm sure this has been discussed plenty on here today so I'll leave it at that, have a good one gents! 🙂

Indeed. Though I wouldn't put racism past Messi, it seems very odd that this is only just coming out now. I personally wouldn't trust Drenthe at all, especially after what he did to us 🙂

Haha that is true, wouldn't be trusting him any time soon 😉 I suppose for me, I like to see Messi as a good role model. Of course he has his failings but I like him as a person. Essentially I'm looking for a new football role model after the disappointment of Ryan Giggs 😀

          Yeah that Bryan Higgs 🙄
I know I'm a bit biased but I think Di Natale is a magnificent player, loyal, and a brilliant spokeman for football. The way he handled the Morosini thing was masterful (though of course he had a huge amount of help).

But i agree about Messi 😉

A childhood hero for me, dear oh dear I sure can pick them 😀
I think you're right, Di Natale is an absolute gent and a brilliant spokesperson for the game. I'm also fond of Michael Laudrup and, although he's not seen as much in the big leagues now, Solskjaer. Both very decent lads from my experiences.

I actually think one of the greatest role models could have been/could still be Ronaldhino. Yes he went off the rails and all this stuff about drugs and all of that isn't a good thing at all but he's the one player who has always made me feel happy to watch a game because he enjoys it so much himself.

so im trying to fix my euro team, and i'm sure most people are as well. so lets write down 1 goalie, 2 def, 2 mids, and 2 forwards that we think are must haves with the reason why. ill start:
gol: akinfeev - the russians have very good defense, and during qualifiers, they had a good record defensively.
def: alba - nailed on as a lb for spain, and is a cheap route to their defense. jodlowlec - plays for poland is seems nailed on. at only 4.0, he seems like a value player who offers cs potential
mid: ozil - is an assisting machine, and also can score. i think he is a must have. sneijder - coming off a shaky season with inter, however always performs on thr national level. will most likely play right behind main striker.
fwd: robben - i would have said rvp or huntelaar given their scoring record, but only one will play a time, so it is a big risk. robben is also only 9.0. gomez/klose - similar to the rvp and huntelaar dilemma, only one will play at a time, but they cost the same. friendlies should give us an idea of how they will line up.

Jodlowiec may not be nailed on, may have to upgrade to a 4.5er there.

I reckon Ozil is the best expensive mid to have, not sure on Akinfeev, I'd prefer Zhirkov for good attacking threat. I'm going for Alba too, Spain don't concede many, maybe Maggio for Italy, they're tight at the back too.

I also wouldn't go for Robben and Sneijder, just one should be enough,
Lewandowski looks like a very good prospect, had a great season for Dortmund too

i think robben for his price of 9 compared to rvp or huntelaar 11.0 offers good value, and if i remember correctly, robben takes the penalties for them. sneijder is the heart of the holland team, and he always performs for them. he will be on most set pieces too. and ya i had lewandowski but changed him to llorente. lewandowski has been amazing for dortmund, but the national team is nowhere near the quality of dortmund, and i just don't know if he can replicate his club form to his national team. priced at 8, i think ibra offers better value as he has been superb as well for milan, and has a better team than poland with the likes of kallstrom and larsson giving him the ball.

Who do you think will score more goals, Everton or Spurs?

I assume most will say Spurs, wish the answer was Everton though...

Spurs pushing for 3rd/4th should score more, took apart limited Bolton and Blackburn sides, depends on Fulham.

I think the matches now come down to who wants it more - and Newcastle want CL more than Everton want to finish 7th..

That's how I'm leaning Sir Demi, just didn't seem right to play a Norwich (non)stopper so looked for some sage advice. It's the impotent Villa strikeforce that attracts me so.

    3pts behind.

    my team:
    cech (mingolet)
    terry, vermaelen, kompany (jagielka, simpson)
    maloney, vdv, dempsey, valencia (sigg)
    jelavic, cisse, rooney

    his team:

    Szczesny, vorm
    kompany, terry, turner, evans caulker
    moses, vdv, bale valencia, sigg
    rvp, rooney, cisse

    i think he's bought yaya.

Thinking of a 8pt hit, he said he's taking a 4 pt hit, so i'll be 7 pts behind going into sunday
    can't risk cech not playing

    cech>alhabsi
    valencia>ramires
    jelavic>torres

also thinking of captaining torres, he's gonna captain rvp

wise moves or is there something else i should be thinking of?

So some of you may come down on me, but I'm trailing 1st place in South Africa by 10 points after being no.1 for half of the season... I've had some pretty bad game weeks and although I'm high up the ranking it still feels terrible dropping places. My top 100 dream is a distant memory.

    Having said that...

    I have 2 FT.

    Wanted to do:

    Dempsey->Moses and
    Jelly->Aguero, but I'm short .1

    any suggestions?

You had 15 greens in a row near the beginning, once you get to the top the only way is down 😛

Your defence should be fine, I expect Verm Terry and Enrique all to play tbh, CS potential there.

I guess the other option is Cisse to Aguero isn't it, with Dempsey to Moses.
Or if you don't want to lose Cisse, Dempsey to Maloney, Jelly to Aguero.

Personally I think i'll do Dempsey to Ramires, Suarez to Aguero for a hit.

Very impressive record of no hits til GW35 though, unfortunately dropped you out of the top 100 though..
