New Match Stat Maps Now in Members Section

In addition to recently publishing the first set of Pre-Season Player Projections, we’ve also rolled out a selection of new stat maps in the Members Area.

Currently these are available via the Match Dashboard, allowing you to view events such as Goal Attempts, Chances Created, Crosses, Passes, Tackles, Clearances and Blocks in any given match. You can also filter these by any player in the match to get a view of his performance for any of the stats in question.

We’ve got more stat maps to add to the selection, most notably a touches heatmap. Before that, however, we’ll be adding these new stat maps to the Player Profiles and Compare Tool to allow the analysis of the maps over a range of Gameweeks.

    Good afternoon my fellow deadzoners, it's been a long time - perhaps too long - since I've posted on the site. As some of you may remember, I departed these cybershores almost 4 months ago in order to complete my regional work and obtain my second year Australian visa. Well, I'm finally back from living in the 'arsehole of nowhere'.

    I imagine I've missed so much banter since I've been away, and although I have had a few peeks on the site since, my internet access has been intermittent to say the least, and certainly not enough to be able to post.

    I have to say that although I didn't make my 'top 100' target last year, I am still delighted with my final standing, and also a bit gutted I wasn't around last week to be able to fight it out with the diehards for that ever elusive single digit ID.

    I would be so appreciative if someone could take the time to link me to some of the best team planning documents (rotations etc.), and perhaps tell me a little more about these new uefa council developments I noticed being talked about. I know it's a lot to ask, but 4 months is a long time to be away from something you love.

    I am so excited and raring to go, can't wait for FPL to start. I wish everyone the very best of luck for the upcoming season. Apologies for the long (overdue) post.

        I did my regional work on a farm near Wallangarra, right on the border of Queensland and NSW.

    @Billy - yeah, tis a shame, although playing away to 2 relegation candidates isn't disastrous. Jaask is marginally better, but then no DGW in GW1.

    Forgot to mention in my earlier post that if I went with a) then Dempsey would become Bale.

          Val does have rotation risk, especially with the wingers on call and with touted Moura move, I dunno really. There is a lot of mid priced talent, I'm actually debating leaving the big boys alone and going for OOP players - Maloney etc, or rising team stars - Newcastle, Spurs, etc Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Michu or taking a risk - Marin etc.

          Only dead cert for me is Rooney, Aguero, Yaya - its actually possible to make a damn good squad.

          Too many Q's - Kagawa, Hazard, and too many overpriced - Bale, Silva, (Hazard?)

              overpriced, tailed off end of last season, not sue to tiredness, but because hes too 1 dimensional and other teams learnt fast how to play him. played left wing he was sensational, but once harry starte bringing him inside, not so effective against CB's. Also AVB very 'safe'

        if aqua, like me, has plans for a 4.5 mid it is to rarely, if ever start them in the first 11. The proviso is though that they should be regular starters for their team in the rare times they are needed

      Very nice team. Personally I'd favour a Wigan mid over Guthrie as you could keep Torres if he shines and play 3-5-2 in GW3.

          Jussi has the best rotation.

          Williams for me. Bigger threat, better fixtures and a bit of a bap magnet. Many will disagree I'm sure but I prefer Williams

      Clichy will be rotated with Kolarov. Some good 6.0 defender? I cant choose more United players.

      Also, I read Pienaar is about to sign a permanent deal with Everton, so I'm considering to choose him over Ben Arfa, thoughts?

      And finally, I'll change Marin for Sinclair in GW3 because i'm supposing that Mata will return in that GW.

        its different, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

        Just a few thoughts-

        Ferdinand? with doubts over starting ceter backs maybe better to De gea in goal and have Cuellular as Sund defender?

        Will Marin start any? could be a sub for first week, who knows with Chelsea mid?

        Pog? a gamble, if he does well all good. If he does badly and is shipped out by loads his price will fall and who can you get for 4.9/ 4.8? Graham is better bet imo

          And as for Bale, I don't think he'll be in the first weeks becaause of the olympics. I think he'll rest 2 or 3 games.

          That's the same reason why I picked Marin, because I think that Chelsea will line up something like this

          Ramires Hazard Marin. are going to rest, specially Mata because of the Euro.

          I want to remove Pog and add Graham but I ran out of money.

      Thoughts on Hangeland > Willams and Graham > Petric?

          Keepers rotate pretty well, other option is Begovic / Jaask, slightly better rotation, but unsure if Sorensen is going to split a lot of gametime with Begovic.

          If Ade moves I may end up getting Defoe in place of Graham/Petric.

          Pienaar might turn out to be a bargain!
