With the Champions League nearing its climax and British teams still very much in the mix, we’ve gone back to our friends at TotelFootball to sort a fantastic deal for Fantasy Football Scout visitors. The Main Pool Game – Free Bet Offer

TotelFootball have given every FFScout signup a free £10 bet – this will allow you to test your management skills against the best managers in the main pool, without risk. This means you can participate in the free FFS Private Pool and also chance your arm in the Main Pool. Your selected team can be entered for both simultaneously.

Once you have your team Champions League squad chosen, you then place your stake money for the Main Pool. The amount of stake you invest affects the amount of winnings you claim should your team be amongst the to 10% in the final rankings.

The stake money put in by all the managers entered will create the prize pot.

Your team will accumulate prize points depending on how high up you finish in the final rankings.

1st – 100 points per £1 stake invested
2nd -5th – 20 points per £1 stake invested
6th-10th 10 points per £1 stake invested
11th-20th 5 points per £1 stake invested
21st-40th – 3 points per £1 stake invested
41st – Remaining entries – 2 points per £1 stake invested

The prize pool is then divided by the total points collected by the winning managers to discover the dividend paid out per point. Each winning manager will then be paid out the per point dividend x total points accumulated.

For example:
A total prize pool is £25,000 with a total of 5,000 points accumulated by all winning managers. This will result in a payout per point of £5.00.

Payout scenarios:
You finish 1st having invested £1 on team entry, your payout will be £500.
You finish 1st having invested £10 on team entry, your payout will be £5,000.
You finish 4th having invested £10 on team entry, your payout will be £1,000.
You finish 36th having invested £100 on team entry, your payout will be £1,500.

In addition to the free £10 bet, if you sign up a new account with TotelFootball today, they will match your initial deposit up to £100.

We’ll be publishing a Champions League player picks article tomorrow, focusing on our tips for this round of TotelFootball.

Finally a reminder that TotelFootball is only available to those aged over 18 and over and, if you’re going to take up this offer and play, please gamble responsibly.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I don't believe so - there are some restrictions, though - I'll try to get clarity on the territories which aren't eligible. Check if your territory is available in the country signup form.

It's pretty similar to FPL to be fair - squad game with auto subs, limit per team etc. The live feed is pretty good too - I've played a few rounds of the CL and it's a bit of a roller coaster - you can can be riding high, only to plummet if the late goals go against you.

Played a couple of times so far, haven't won yet but you need to finish in the top 10% and admittedly many of my teams were completely rushed affairs I only just submitted in time. I got very close once, missing out by a couple of places, would have paid off very nicely.

Going to start playing it seriously from now on.

I approached it thinking I'd automatically be up there with their top guys but it's not easy. I've had a couple of respectable finishes just outside the money.

Many of those guys seem to have some kind of sixth sense 😀 Course they don't really, but it's those 50/50 decisions they seem to nail, like last week between Reus and Gotze. I went with what I thought was the obvious option of Reus.

I find myself checking the lineups much more carefully now because the appearance points are really significant.

    Evening chaps!

    Federici
    Turner Clyne Demel* GJ* Davies*
    Bale Mata Walcott Puncheon Michu*
    RVP Berbatov Suarez*

    1FT, 0.0 in the bank

I’m thinking GJ and Suarez to Evans and Aguero for a 4 point hit. This means I can put out 11 even if Demel doesn’t play.

I can’t afford to just do Suarez to Aguero.

Reckon I should take the hit?

if you have no utd coverage dont be in no rush to get some coverage yet qpr away is not easy then norwich home surely one of rooney or rvp will be rested plus possible gw29 blank yet, im in a similar situation hope the gw29 games get finalised before deadline, even the aguero move could be to cisse instead if they have a blank aswell

Great bit of discussion earlier before I had to run off, I enjoy when there's a sort of deadzone during the afternoon. Not that it has to be dead but that there is more deep discussions when there isn't a swarm of people asking whether Demel will play and who to bench...Demel or Demel. 🙂

Generally anything I'm involved in is a sticky contender, but that that's the price you pay for being a high rep legend 😉

But seriously, there's some great discussions on here at times and the sticky idea will definitely help to direct people to some quality debates if they wish to read them.

Thing is, whether Demel plays or not is actually important to people's teams and decisions.

Abstract discussions about people's reasoning, logic or lack thereof for taking hits after a DGW, not so much 😉

Not sure what to do this GW. I can field XI, but fancy changing something. Want to keep Suarez, defence is a bit of a mess. So, do I go for:
    a) downgrade Baines to Evans and upgrade Demel/Shaw to 5.9m
    b) downgrade Baines to Evans and swap Guthrie for 6m
    c) do nothing
    d) keep template team

If United win, they'll play the FA Cup game on the weekend of GW29 I think. Then if the PL game can't be rearranged for midweek, they get a GW29 blank.

Am I right in thinking that it's only really the FA Cup QFs that will likely cause potential DGWs? Seems that the teams are free the midweek after the SFs to accommodate those league games that have to be postponed. Is there a precedent for this in previous seasons?
