No thrills. Few spills. Just two men in a room talking about Fantasy Football.

Granville and I handed Jonty and the “Professor” an extended pre-season and rolled the ScoutCast back to its rawest form. Just myself and the Mancunian sharing our thoughts after a summer break and looking forward to another Fantasy campaign.

We talk double Gameweek assets, I roll out the van Persie duvet, Granville reveals more than he should about his team lineup and, around all that, we assess the early bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures.

Forty-five minutes of two blokes talking about the stuff that’s rattling around in most of our heads right now.

    Hi all. Horrible few hours. Sorry folks - some real server issues but we think we're on to the root cause. One of the big problems was the Captain Poll which we've had to remove. We'll now keep that off the site and take a look at an alternative for next week.

    We're still tinkering but hopefully have some stability now.

        Well by the end of the international break, we'll hopefully have our matchday comments ready to roll out. Until then, we will have to work with HC. We wanted to get it done for kick-off but it just wasn't possible.

        We will be removing more comments during matches to keep page counts down a bit - we don't need a page of "goal" shouts so we'll simply unapprove those to clear out pages. Hopefully nobody will be precious about them 😉

            Agreed but knowing my luck the one week I need them they'll will be rested/rotated etc. Would be nice to know at least 2 pts were on the bench given how tight my mini league was last year.

        Didn't realise I missed that out, my MF sub is Sterling...so in other words I'm looking for replacements. Any ideas? Also, why Silva above Coutinho can I ask?

          I'd probably go Kim and pocket the .5
          I think Coutinho will score more than Silva to be honest. Just my gut feeling. I have neither in my current team.. have Sturridge though

            I love a switch that frees up some cash! Out of interest what kind of player is Kim? Is he a bit of a gamble? I've not seen him play.

            I'm a huge fan of Coutinho as a player, but not having a City player with their first few fixtures worries me a little. Although going on the last few months of the season it's a no brainer switch to Cou I guess...

    Someone in work sent me a code for a league they are running just for fun. They did it last year as well apparently. Naturally, I joined up and immediately suggested we put a tenner each in the pot to make things interesting. Looking at the other players' FPL histories I am in for a windfall! 🙂

    Surprised you said not to go with Coutinho and Sturridge. Surely if you think they will score the most points then it doesn't matter if you have them both....

    Concerning the scoutcast team-how about you let the community decide who you transfer in every week via a poll? Friday night cut off point.

      There was also an official report today how the Glazers themselves popped in this week and vetoed any deal involving Rooney. Check out ESPN for that

    RVP vs non-RVP is my major struggle, happy with my team, it all comes down to this:

    Which should i go for, and why?

    1) RVP, Snodgrass and Maiga (would have to play regularly, but I have a feeling he will be ok...)

    2) Lambert, Sturridge and Silva

    Figure RVP will have to come in GW4 anyway....
