      I'd want ADM over Hazard, but this might not be the week to do it.
      I wouldn't take the hit to do the other two.

    Which of the following combinations is the best use of my 2 FTs to get rid of Krul and Caulker:

    1) Forster + Shackell (9.5M)
    2) Forster + Duff (9.1M)
    3) Heaton + Betrand (9.6M)

    Hey DZ'ers! Little help. Team is:

      Team looks good to go! I think I'd rather Duff over Moore

    A. Eriksen-->Di Maria (Will leave me with 0.0 ITB, Will also leave me with 3 united players, Fixtures getting tougher for United)

    B. Rooney---> Aguero (Easy fixture for Aguero, Rooney playing in the "hole". Less attacking potential for him. Will be unable to fund for this move if I do A)

    C. Chester---->Naylor/Pva/Chambers (Any of these players will be benched this GW. Since I have Dummet I only have 3 nailed defenders. A replacement for Chester will help in the future.)

    Im thinking B at the moment as Im not keen on Uniteds upcoming fixtures, could see them losing to WHM, also have DDG. Thoughts?

      I think the next 3 fixtures look pretty good for Rooney personally. He's historically played better at hoem and with WHM, EVE, wbm coming up I wouldn't be in a hurry to sell just yet. Also Aguero has the CL to worry about

      I think ADM is a must though so I vote A

      Not sure about Aguero right now. Big game vs Roma early next week may mean he either doesn't start against Hull or only gets 60 minutes (granted he has shown he only needs 2 minutes to score) plus the game after Roma is against Aston Villa away with a flu/bug free defence + captain Vlaar hopefully back fit.
      I'm staying away from all Tottenham and Everton attacking options to keep Europa League/frustration levels down so I'd probably go with Di Maria before prices change for both players.

          Probably wishful thinking, but Leicester looked solid vs United, so figured vs Crystal Palace and Burnley Ulloa a decent option for two weeks until it's Welbeck.
          Can't knock going Pelle though.

    Hi again.. Team for this week. It looks ok, but I think it’d be good to have Pelle or Ulloa.

    Forster
    Ivanovic - Clyne - Moreno
    Fabregas - Sterling - ADM - Ramsey - Siggy
    Costa (c) - Welbeck
    Sub: Naismith, Naylor, Moore

    So, would you do anything of these?

    A) Naismith + Ramsey -> Pelle + 6.7m MF (Chadli, Downing, Moses, Quinn, Boyd)
    B) Naismith + Ramsey -> Ulloa + Tadic
    -or-
    C) Ramsey -> Silva
    D) Save FT with the risk of losing more value in Naismith and Ramsey

    1. Holmes
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

      D imo. Would atleast keep Ramsey for one more week 🙂
      A means you have to bench 6.7m midfielder every week which is waste of cash. B looks short term. C is better than A and B.

      1. NATSTER
        • 13 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

        For A, I may opt for 4.4m MF like Boyd or 5.0m MF like Rodwell.

        Then ... save cash to upgrade Moreno to Baines a week later.

        Sound better?

          I'm unsure about that. Villa have been great defensively all season except against Arsenal they had a flu/bug going through the team which meant 1 or 2 (?) defenders were out plus Vlaar injured. Against Chelsea they should be at full strength. I will possibly be benching Fabregas myself for that game depending on this weeks results of course.

    Was just listening to talk sport, there was some journalist on there whoreckons LVG has said Rooney is now in the hole as Falcao a better striker than him , also seemed to think Mata was history unless one of RVP or Falcao is injured

    If this is true i think LVG making a big mistake , its not Mata thats the problem its RVP

      “We have played well, but can improve, and I was not so satisfied with Rooney as a striker and Mata as midfielder,” Van Gaal said. “That is why I changed. Rooney can play in more positions, he’s a multi-functional player and I have tried him in a striker’s position. He has played well, but not spectacular. Falcao is a striker and I think he can do it better.” - LvG

      Poor Mata. But does bring substance to the rumour of a Mata swap to Roma for Strootman next window...

            For Falcao, Costa, or Aguero, I would.
            I know people aren't big on Aguero due to price and injury, but worst case scenario you swap him out for almost anyone due to his price. His next 2 you gotta like his chances.

          I agree Rooney will get plenty of points playing in that position! With Falcao/RvP running around you it's inevitable. But it does mean Rooney is now technically a 10.4 midfielder taking up 1 of your valuable 3 forward positions. There just seems to be far better options up front for much cheaper. I think for what you gain in selling Rooney outweighs the loss.

            Agree, but no rush to sell for a hit. I think its prudent to use a game week or two to assess which out of Falcao/Aguero/Sturridge to bring in - if not going with double cheap combo e.g. two out of Pelle/Welbeck/ulloa and a strong midfield.

          Yeah, I understand what you mean.
          Mata's just the odd man out on a team stacked with offensive talent.

    I know this sounds crazy but what do you guys think of DDG to Forster for a hit?

      I'm considering it as a free (and a free I have to make or lose as I have 2 this week), but wouldn't as a hit.

        DDG will not keep a CS against West ham. Forster could easily do so against QPR.

          Odds (http://www.paddypower.com/football/football-matches/premier-league?ev_oc_grp_ids=9551) are 11/10 and 10/11 respectively. So Forster more likely, but not by all that much, it seems.

            😯 who is United slightly more likely to keep a CS against the team that has scored the 3rd most goals this season then Southampton

      Omg you're still considering it. And I'll tell you the same as yesterday...Wouldn't do it for a hit makes no sense. Please, stop it. 😀

            I just don't understand why! Prorated could easily get 6-7 and DDG could easily get 1-2

    Pick one
    1)Ramsey+Ade-->Di maria + Pelle(-4)
    2))Ramsey+Ade-->Di maria + Welbeck(-4)
    3)Ade-->Pelle and -4 after 2 weeks to get Welbeck
    4)Ade-->Welbeck

          Southampton continue to have good fixtures as well, but if you're heading down that route I'd grab Welbeck straight away then
          Don't like hits so 4) for me then
          Good luck with it

    B) Robertson > chambers

    How's this look:

    Rooney + Naismith ---> Costa + Pelle

    Staying away from Upgrading/Downgrading : DDG, Caulker, Chester, Moreno for another hit.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers 🙂

          I don't really take history like that into consideration, tbh. Doesn't change the fact that he's playing in midfield, and even deeper because of ADM + he's a premium forward and isn't worth the price for his negative OOP and assist a game prospects.
