Downing - All the reports ahead of yesterday's match was that Downing was to be assessed but some guy on twitter (who accurately tweeted that 4 or 5 players weren't going to be involved for the Everton game) suggested he'll be out for 4-6 weeks.hmm ok. Thanks.

Spurs are terrible, there's unrest in the camp and his place is only secure in the short term. Also if (when) he gets dropped/injured, it'll be really difficult to upgrade him. Tough couple of fixtures coming up too. It could work, but I'd rather not hop on the cheap striker merry-go-round.
Interesting. Those are some of the negatives swirling around in my head but when comparing him to Sakho, Austin, and Ings they all have their warts...cheers though.

Yes. I did Pelle to Austin this week and am downgrading Clyne so I can afford Moses to Siggy for a hit this week. Also own Azpi so definitely think it's a good move.

Since the Costa injury he's really been going for it.
He was playing second fiddle to Cesc and Costa at the start but he's too good for second fiddle.
Maybe vs Sunderland will be his explosion.All his returns this season have been when Costa is playing. I think his recent upturn is down to him becoming more selfish, like he was for most of last season. Less passing, more shooting.

I wouldn't be surprised, he's a beast at headers.
I tend to avoid players who I expect a deterioration from though. He is a nearing a point where his age may begin to affect his bps/goals/minutes etc. Although I guess you can't expect that from now until January 🙂
