We turn our attentions to the weekend’s nine matches now and delve into the data in our first member’s article of the week. Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham’s goalscoring midfielders arrive on our radar, whilst Swansea’s in-form frontman and Andy Carroll’s impact on West Ham’s style of play are also amongst this evening’s topics.
could do...you'll have to wait for the presser though
Who's the best person to bring in for Downing if I already have siggy?
no need to sell downing if he is fit imo
Won't make transfers until after mid week games but nice to have some thoughts.
Pelle & Tadic -> ? &?
16.2 to spend
A) Hazard & Austin/ Sakho / Kane
B) ADM & Austin / Sakho / Kane
C) Rooney & 5.7 mid
D) Bony & 8.0 mid
E) Something else
Current front 8:
Sanchez, Siggy, Chadli, Tadic (Wanyama)
Aguero, Costa, Pelle
2FTA with Austin.
this
Cheers both 🙂
Is Bartley nailed on for next 4 GW ?
Nope, only 2 I think.
No.
Cursed in my post so it's under review.
Repost(ish)
Last 2 gameweeks ago I got Eriksen in for Sterling. This week I got Chadli in for Eriksen.
http://i.imgur.com/tLNTG7K.png
Boll*cksSo,
If Chadli is fit for next week, Cesc Pelle -> Siggy Costa
If Chadli is out for next week (or long term), Chadli Pelle -> Siggy Bony.
Sounds good? Double Swans + Chelsea risky but fixtures backing them up.For those gambling on Kane, what's your exit strategy? You keeping a million in the bank?
Wouldn't gamble. But if I did, I'd get him and figure it out later.
A simple downgrade elsewhere is all that's needed. I don't see the problem with it. Could be amazing value even if he's just decent never mind good.
This. Have a lot of options to downgrade and upgrade him if need be.
Selling Ivanovic somewhere down the track if he isn't bringing in enough points. Will use to funds to upgrade Kane.
Power-5 midfield here. Upgrading Kane (he'll be my first sub most weeks) and dumping a midfielder go hand in hand.
I can't believe I've had Krul from the start of the season and yet only profited from one out of his FIVE CSs ... thanks to a certain Asmir Begovic. Woulda been better off if I just went for flipping Elliot instead. -.-
Is Kane on a WC a good choice?
Probably not but meh, get him anyway, he's cheap and plays up front for Spurs.
Just activated the wildcard.
Gone for a power 5 midfield with Costa/Aguero/Kane up front. Probably crazy but there are no defenders screaming out for investment and the budget options have suited me great so far.Who's your mid?
Downing and Chadli are out so it limits the option for a decent milf other than siggyMid is currently Sanchez-Siggy-Cesc-Downing-Hazard.
Keeping Downing for now until more news on the injury front.I think Demi posted earlier next week might be too early for Downing.
So you can do a week punt before going Downing.Cheers, will look into that.
If he's only out for the week I might just save the free transfer and bench him - as you say there aren't too many other options in that range.
Would be surprised if Kane didn't start the next game though so always got him to start.
Baines? Chelsea?
I'm all about the budget defence.
I know it's not the most popular strategy but without bragging it's taken 2 pretty awful game weeks for me to drop out of the top 1k, I think it works! Remember reading from the guy who won the thing last year that he avoids any premium defenders until the end of the season.
Chelsea defence is tempting but I think Costa/Cesc are no brainers and I decided I'd rather have Hazard than Azpilicueta at the end of the day.Baines only worthwhile pricey defender
New year will bring back some other big lads but the good teams are conceding and the lower teams are doing better
A consistant back 4 on form of a lower team is better than a big name defender of a big team.
This^
Oops. Asked the same question in an older thread.
Guys, you think Krul will go up to 4.7m by the time the game against Burnley rolls around? Planned to bring in Green for Krul this week, but if Krul is likely to gain me a 0.1m profit by GW14, I'd hold off on the transfer, especially given how uber cheap my defense is.I've owned Eriksen for a total of 4 weeks this season, missed every goal and assist he's produced.
Anyone else have the pleasure of dealing with his inconsistency?Owner for 3 weeks, returned 2 0 and 1. Dump him and he scores 13.
I brought him in for GW9 after he scored 2 goals in 2 games. I had him for his nice little run of 2, 0 & 1 points before selling him ahead o this gameweek. Thanks Eriksen, it's been a blast.
Cheers all for the replies last page.
When it comes to the end of a page the trick is to wait until a new page is made then go for your post
I was being serious.
So was I
Ah OK. Was just making sure no one thought I was being sarcstic. Always appreciate feedback.
And yeah, I try to wait when I can.
Just shipped Welbeck to Austin. Will take a look at Danny again when Ozil is back.
One move down, three more to go. This is fun again.Ah you're missing the Bony choo choo, TM.
Not necessarily. Three more moves, that could be one.
But then there's no space for Rooney. 🙁
😀
A) krul and austin
B) heaton and kaneGo for a more expensive keeper than Heaton by going with Kane?
B) Newcastle is about to start a run of horrendous fixtures that will last a good while.
Still A
Neil Taylor, Sigurdsson, Rooney, Fabianski all on my watchlist.
Who should I prioritize? This is my current team.
Forster
Baines | Clyne | Chambers
Hazard | Sanchez | Chadli | Downing
Aguero | Costa | Sakho
________________________________________
Elliot | Felipe Luis | Moore | AlbrightonSiggy. You've possibly two non playing mids. Make that three with Albrighton.
Naylor. Get shut of Luis.
Wildcard?
If only I still had it. I need to take a -4, just need to decide which 2 transfers would suit my team best. Tricky indeed.
Really tempted by Bony. But no room for both him and Costa.
Why? You have Kun and ...?
Sakho 😎 and Di Maria Fabregas Sanchez Baines Azpi.
Basically it's between Bony + Cesc or Costa + Chadli.
Will have Hazard and Siggy
The question for me all week will be Bony or Kane. Must investigate what else I could do with the funds if Kane.
Similar sentiments here. For me it would be either Bony + Chadlii or Kane + Siggy?. However the xtra funds can be used to upgrade Tadic -> Hazard -4. Kane is a very handy enabler.
Tough one. To be honest though I think I'd rather have Kane than Chadli. And you know I prefer Siggy. But then again Bony could explode. Man, it really is tough.
Yeah I wouldn't want to double up on Spurs or Swansea so its got to be one of each I think. I also tend to agree that Kane is a better Spurs option than Chadlii. Its tough to ignore Bony's form right now though. At least his stats in the big numbers article aren't all that.
I'm most likely tripling up on Swans short term. 😯
exactly this - look for exit strategies if things go awry with kane 🙂
Oscar and Kane or Bony and Downing is my debate.
I went for Bony , because of fixtures and pens , can always swap for Kane later and play with the change
True. That 4.8m price is so enticing though.
Even if he starts banging them in , he will only rise to about 5.2 max would still be great value, to unproven for now , go with the tried and tested
Any news on Chadli?
Clyne to Baines now or see how SOT hold up against stiffer opposition?
I think their attackers might be worth persevering with, but yeah I'd look to offload the defenders. TBH I've made plans to ship Pelle & Mane anyway, but they should still tick along OK. The defence, I'm not so sure.
cheers, I'll be keeping wanyama holding down my 5th mid spot 😀
Slightly misread this I think, thought you were asking about Saints generally. But yes, that looks good assuming Baines is fit for the weekend.
cheers mate
Baines in the next three (tot, HUL, mci) worth it?
Partly why I'm not sure, but the thing about Baines is that even if you don't get the CS points theres still attacking returns to look forward to
I doubt they'll maintain their current form against much stiffer tests. They've had the easiest run to this point.
They have made the most of it and I don't expect them to collapse, but even a goal or two in seven of the next nine will make a mess of their CS stats.Thats what I'm worried about, thanks
Talk to me about Kane, guys. Is he really that good? Is he on PK duties or something? And most importantly, is he a better stash than Austin, Bony and Giroud if Pelle gets his 5th yellow?
Bony the pick of the lot for me. But Kane is a legitimate option. Depends on what you do elsewhere with the funds saved.
Yeah, Bony has a proven history in FPL (although he didn't have the best start this season), while Kane's output is still debatable.
you're right. Chester & Pelle to Ivan & Kane with 0.6 itb looks waaaaaayyyy too tempting 😆
He's cheaper than the likes of Austin and Ings and he plays up front for a better team. He also looks like he will get a good run in the first team so I think Kane is a strong prospect. His budget price is the main drawcard.
Indeed. He will provide a lot of options to the team with all the money to be saved. Will he continue to start when Ade return, though?
There is good reason for Spurs to start two up front. Kane is performing really well at the moment and I simply can't see him being dropped.
I like the way you are jibber jabbering tonight Ryan. 🙂 Kane4eva
He's on some direct FKs and looks more useful than Soldado. That's all I know.
Seriously? Wow, that's an added incentive, since he's price is golden. Cheers all of you.
Forster to Fabianski next GW?
Yep.
Any better options? besides courtois
Guzan, like they said. And I'm still being optimistic with Krul 😉
sounds good
Yep. Consider Guzan, also.
A) Clyne, Fabregas, Austin
or
B) Dummett, Siggy, Rooney?Baines Sigurdsson Bony/Austin/Kane?
How does Forster + Clyne + Jags ---> Fabianski + Terry + Jenkinson for -4 sound?
All of my attackers/mids I am happy with, just need to wait on some news on Downing. (In an ideal world would love Hazard but dont think its wise to drop ADM)So should we assume Kane will go up in price tonight? it will be very close and isn't predicted to go up till tomorrow. Would you sell Pelle for him tonight? or wait till after the Saints game and risk Kane possibly going up in price?
If you're set on him I'd do it now. Bony not a bad backup plan though. 😀
I would like to invite Pelle to possibly change my mind. However even if he bags a hattrick its probably still best to sell him with Saints rough upcoming fixtures.
Pelle needs to go.
I’m facing the same dilemma.
I would do it now. Don't let a good game from Pelle trick you into holding. Those fixtures are the worst I've seen.
Yeah, you are quite right
You convinced on kane, ryan? I was all set on pelle > austin this week but kane has turned my head.
Just read your response to nabil post (i read pages bottom up)
Yeah I'm just more confident backing a Spurs striker than a striker in a team which will struggle.
Then there is the price tag as well
He's rising tonight?? Damn, I still got Pelle who's yet to play. This is getting really difficult now..
Revprice change, Its just 0.1. Spurs play in europe this week and pelle not even played yet
Decision moment.. Pelle is on 4 bookings too. I have exact budget and Kane's rise will mess things up. He has a Europa game too.
Oh.. I think I'd do it now.I already did it. Not worth the risk.
Keep Kane or sell for Austin?
if you have either, I wouldn't sell for the other 🙂
But which one would you get ar?
Austin for me, although if there was a nice upgrade you could afford elsewhere in your team if you went with Kane, then he is a worth alternative 🙂
I've been thinking of doing this all week:
Kane > Austin
Tadic > ADM
Chambers > Yun
I have to do it tonight if I do as Austin might go upWhy not just do Tadic & Chambers?
Chambers was to fund Austin. I can just do Tadic to ADM or Haz?
Ft? I'd just do that then.
ADM or Haz? ADM's next 2 are juicy....and I also have Fab and Costa
Yep, I have 2 ft's
is that an -8 hit? id just do Tadic ---> AdM (although I prefer Hazard)
Nope, -4.
I have been thinking of ADM or Haz....but I also have Fab. Triple up on chelsea attack?the way they are playing it wouldn't be a bad thing, although I think owning a defender could be worth it in the long run
I have baines, but reluctant to sell at the moment
I certainly wouldn't recommend selling Kane. He's doing a job for you at the moment
Agreed....Thanks for your reply
Hi folks, any advice on what i could do?
Would like to get rid of all my Saints players.
2 FT & 0.1 ITB
Guzan
Chambers Dummett Bertrand
ADM Sanchez Tadic Henderson
Costa Aguero Pelle
Subs- Boyd O'Shea ColoSorry if it already been mentioned but anyone fancy Yun as a cheap option considering Leicester cant score at present?
yes he could easily get a clean sheet
Your more confident that me its play him or Coleman, think it'll be Coleman.
yes if you have paid the money for coleman, you start him...notably spurs home form has been shocking, and they have been quite good away from home
What do you think for the foreseeable future?
Rooney and Austin/sakho OR costa and Kane/ayoze???
Struggling wih this one!Probably Costa & Ayoze. I'd say Rooney is more explosive but if he's going to be playing deep then it's probably not worth the risk.
Despite having no players yesterday i dropped less than 200 places and only one place in the members league. After spurs and liverpool both played. Seems unbelievable
A sign of the times perhaps, both sides looking very shaky at the moment...
But it's mainly down to the low-scoring gameweek of course. Always seems to be the case after an international break...just when we need a fantasy fix most, they serve up this shit.Super low ownership it seemed today amongst ffs teams.
Many with 0 pts. Average in top10k rose by 0.9pt.Same story (only that I'm not in the members league). Was banking on Chester but then nothing happened.
None of the higher point scorers for Sunday were owned by more than 5% I think.
