    Is costa price protected?

I'm led to believe no changes to price can be made for 5 day after red flag removed. Is this correct?

May as well. Spurs seem impotent.

Poch continues to play rubbish like Lamela and bring on deadwood like chadli rather than players with pace like lennon or townsend.

They may have tested his ACL already and shown that it is torn. A scan would just confirm it.

However I have a feeling people have heard "Knee Ligament" and immediately jumped to "ACL" which isn't necessarily true.

I know this is a load of rubbish but he did a gesture with his hands which was very similar to how I tried to explain it when I did my ACL, obviously I'm no Facer though

            • 14 Years
            9 years, 6 months ago

No it is a fair enough and accurate observation, not rubbish at all. What I will though is that there are other ligaments in the knee. The most likely could be ACL or MCL, more rarely are PCL or LCL. But the difference between ACL and MCL recovery time is huge.

My concern is it is indeed ACL, purely because there was a good deal of sudden twisting and movement when he went over but he did take a tackle before it that could have done his MCL instead.

Torn...no....SA rugby captain tore his ACL last week and couldn't walk....had to be stretched off in agony. Not torn but could be to a lesser extent.

          1. Somalion
            • 14 Years
            9 years, 6 months ago

It really depends on the tear (and the person/event), I have seen with my own eyes a friend of mine tear his ACL and limp over to the sidelines to be checked. For example, I imagine the SA rugby captain took a big tackle when he did it? He'd be in a lot of pain then.

Rewatch the incident with Aguero, he is clearly in agony and his "walking" is much more a hobble than anything else...

            1. Ice
              • 10 Years
              9 years, 6 months ago

Yeh I know, tear is so ambiguous though. The SA captain completely ruptured his ACL and tore his MCl slightly, he didn't take a big hit just had his leg trapped and someone landed on him pushing him the wrong way....poor guy. So I don't think that Kun could have completely ruptured his ACL because due to knee mechanics you definitely can't walk or even hobble. But he could have a small tear in it. Unfortunately I don't think he's gunna be back anytime soon, even if not serious it could be a month or two...knee ligaments are usually serious, poor guy.

              1. Somalion
                • 14 Years
                9 years, 6 months ago

See if he's done both ligaments I can understand his inability to walk, he's lost a lot of support. I guarantee you, depending on how traumatic the tear is, an ACL tear can be walked on. It isn't advisable or the done thing but if someone does their ACL they can on occasion walk on it (I once saw a case where someone tore it completely and didn't realise!)

Now the more likely thing is there's a tear but not complete. However, even in that situation, they most likely will have to go in an repair it surgically... So I agree with you, he's in a real pickle. Which is devastating because he's my favourite player in the PL.

You can tell if knee ligaments are completely torn with a manual check, if it is then it's usually six months

Potentially. I was surprised they didn't stretcher him off if it was ACL but then again, you do see folks walk or more likely hobble on it when first done...

I wrote the other day how chadli won't be a regular starter for spurs.

The result today changes nothing other than he highlighted he's incapable of playing in a 442 on the left. He has absolutely no pace and is poor at closing defenders down.

I fully expect to see spurs try and push chadli out this winter. He's in the shop window.
