The FFE £2500 Festive Challenge

A few weeks back we gave a shout-out to Fantasy Football Exchange, a new and fresh-faced weekly Fantasy Football experience. The guys behind the game kindly set up a Fantasy Football Scout league for Gameweek 12 with a £500 prize pot and a good number of you landed a nice little earner from it.

Now Fantasy Football Exchange are gearing up for the frantic next few weeks with a special Christmas tournament.

The £2500 Guaranteed Festive Challenge is a four-Gameweek long league which costs just £5 to enter. That’s a guaranteed prize pot, although that can rise even further as the entrant number increase.

The rules are simple: the ‘£2500 Guaranteed Festive Challenge’ runs from Gameweek 17 – 20 (starting December 20 and ending after the New Year’s Day fixtures), and you’ll be able to make unlimited transfers between now and when the league starts. Once it’s underway, you’ll have FOUR transfers available in total.

This is not a ‘winner takes all’ league, but one with a ‘sliding scale’ structure – so ALL the top finishers will scoop a slice of the prize pot.

Fantasy Football Exchange is a breeze to pick up, mainly because, at its core, the game is based on a similar ruleset to the Fantasy Premier League model we know and love. With very similar pricing, it’s a good bet that you’ll even be able to turn your current FPL squad into your FFE lineup.

There are some key differences, however. Firstly, FFE recognises that even the likes of Karl Henry deserve some love and have beefed up the points potential of defensive midfielders. The FFE bonus points are also allocated by collating the player rankings from three national papers to give our overall marks – arguably a fairer method of finding the top three players from each match.

If you missed out in Gameweek 12, you’ve every incentive to get involved ahead of this weekend and put yourself in the hat for a piece of that £2500.

Look out for FFE’s preview of the tournament over on their blog on Friday; we’ll be publishing the FFS squad on our social channels prior to the weekend deadline.

For more information visit FFE here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Are any of the people planning to captain Austin worried that WBA have only conceded 4 goals to strikers all season?

Im vice captaining him and do think his home form is excellent, but I just felt it is too risky when my armband is on a 6.0 qpr player so I bought RVP for these weeks when Arsenal Chelsea and Man Utd are all away

Just an anomaly I think. When you look at the underlying stats they're conceding as many chances as anyone else in the league. Someone clinical like Austin should fill his boots imo.

QPR have to win this sort of game to stay up - end of. They will ship a few but score at Loftus and Charlie boy will be the man...

Tough one actually... Eriksen on form, Sterling might be back on track and Nasri might profit from the striker absence. My order would be: B, C, A, D (I guess....)

    Unpopular opinion:

City concedes to each of Palace, WBA and Sunderland unless Kompany returns fully fit ahead of schedule.

They have already conceded goals to Stoke, Hull (w/o Hart), West Ham, QPR (w/o Kompany), Swansea, and Sunderland (w/o Kompany) this season.

They also conceded to Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Spurs though I left those out because they're arguably better teams.

Then on top of it all City are effectively a yellow card away from fielding a CB pair of Demi/Sagna/Boyata.

    Spells trouble!

Can't see it. They had Kun to bail them out of trouble in those games when they were just outscoring teams. Now they'll wanna grind out results by improving defensively with no Kun. Can see a lot of 1-0 results imo.

Too many changes every week really unsettled the team, and club. We looked better against City compared to recent weeks, though. Hopefully can put in a good performance this week and nab a point.

    Eriksen
    Sanchez
    Kane
    Austin
    Costa

Someone talk me out of captaining Eriksen = P

Currently C Eriksen as well. 3 assist midweek. Don't think he will be but a slightest bit of rotation risk as he did play midweek.

Who is confident that Zabaleta will start all PL games throughout this busy period?

      Nobody. Why would he?

Very doubtful, may as well give Sagna a game when they play twice in three days.

Has anyone on here considered Fer? I know he's on the tightrope.

Not for me. Austin and Yun only from QPR

Wouldn't want a QPR double up.

Good 5th midfielder if I didn't have Austin.

I was all set on using my FT to ditch Baines for Zabaleta this week, but things continue to happen that put me off the transfer:

    A) Mirallas is out
    B) Tadic is out
    C) Pelle a doubt
    D) Southampton midfield is in the lazarette

Keep Baines. You will regret it when he ends up scoring and keeping a cleanie

I have Baines and Jags after my double Everton fail on Monday and thinking similar...though its only doubts and Everton just look shaky atm..

I'd keep him one more week.

It seems incredible to me that Rooney only has 1 double figure haul this season

Seems due a run to me

Doesn't surprise me all that much when you watch him play. He's so hit and miss these days with his shooting. Feels like he hits row Z as much as he does the target. That and he's slower each year too.

more withdrawn role as he's not playing out and out playmaker despite being in the hole..chances are fewer and further in between
