Would anyone advise against sitting Austin (ars) and starting Naylor (AVL)?

If Hazard is ruled out for at least this week. (Medium/long term injury)

Hazard > ADM? (No United cover)

    Actually, thoughts on this move?

    Fabianski
    Zaba Baines Azpi Clyne Duff
    Haz Sanchez Eriksen Downing Boyd*
    Bony Austin Costa*

Boyd Costa -> Sterling Kane (-4)

Will give me a strong front 8.
Bench Downing this week, and instead of playing Clyne, I'll have Kane to play.

Short 0.2m to get Yaya instead of Sterling..

Bench cover yes, good bench cover, no imo

I'd get Hutton after Swans though. Montero & Rout's pace will out do Hutton & co. Plus, Bony's well rested, great form, home fixtures. I can't see a cleanie for Villa mate. It's a 1 point bench cover, 2 points at best.

At least Vergini has 2 good immediate fixtures, great chance of a cleanie vs (HUL), If he can be rotated, it'd be ideal

Would still rather bench Moore this w/e & move on to Hutton next week, it's what I'm doing with Duff anyway 😉

Im actually thinking of selling for differential after WHam anyway though.
His away record is pathetic and 3 away games and City home in 5 isnt great.

The scary thing is even a minor injury which kept him out for only 10 days would mean three missed gameweeks

And if hes not fit for the first one, there no guarantee he would make the others

Score for me this week 73. Was happy but

    Pantilimon bench 10
Austin VC which I nearly made C
    Wasted armband on RVP
    Dummett 89 mins 6pts, Dummett 90mins 1pt.

I still only think of what could have been. 🙁

Woah, we had the same problems 😯

Shoddy luck mate, played Fab instead of Panti.
2 points worse off, no biggie 😉

RvP was the better choice this w/e IMO, unlucky not to score.

      1. Sánchez
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

I had crappy green in goals so lost more

I really considered captaincy for Austin bu the 12.5m tag on RVP made me go with him. Daft. I never captain away players normally.

          • 9 Years
          9 years, 6 months ago

Yeah, I know how you feel mate.
Bent the knee & point chased the captaincy, just felt RvP has the higher ceiling.
Couldn't believe the resilience with the 3 at the back & no Huttinho.

Just unlucky calls, perhaps Falcao has something to do with this
Took some burden off RvP, Wilson was playing a different role.
Currently not liking this set-up though

Wow, he really did do a job on his team. Funny thing is though, with the right set of injuries and an about turn in form for certain players, that team could chug along quite nicely. Imagine if Balotelli started converting some of those billion chances he has had... 😯

Have Azpi/Hutton/Dummett/Wisdom/Yun. Worth Yun->O'Shea (only have 0.5 itb) on a FT to shore up a bit, or save?

    Costa >>> Austin
    Siggy >>> ADM/Sterling/Silva
Yun >>> Clichy ( If rested this GW)

    Thoughts?

    Joe Hart
    Apzi Ried Coleman
    Hazard Yaya Sanchez Siggy
    Costa Giroud Kane

    McCarthy Downing Saylor Yun

Downing is good cover for this GW Saylor and Yun not ideal just hope Siggy/Sanchez/Hazard all play

So many GK transfers a-la-mode now here.

Only need the new GK to make 4 points over time to make it worthwhile.

      1. Zasa
        • 9 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

Understandable, I transferred in Panti for the hit out of pure necessity.
Recouped my points with his saves.

The point isn't the likelihood of points recouped, it's the awkward timing of said transfers.
Your GK's are the most nailed-on in this time period. Surely, your immediate bench cover is more a worry? GK's have relatively the lowest ceiling in the game, why take a hit & waste a transfer on that spot?

What makes it even more weird, is the fact that many of us held unto Begovic for most of the season with no rush to drop. Now these GK transfers are all the rage. Can't see any solid logic behind these moves with playing keepers IMO

    3. President John F. Keninnsie
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 6 months ago

I did a GK transfer last week. It worked well with Hart getting a CS, but Forster somehow did too.

I think if you're confident the keeper you're bringing in will outscore the keeper you're selling by more than 4 points, then I see nothing wrong with a GK transfer.

      1. Zasa
        • 9 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

Ah, now that's interesting. Hart being the best bet into the City defense for sheer lack of rotation headache. Good move. Though, I feel this is an anomaly.

Many were considering getting Hart in for a hit when they had a playing keeper, plus a horrible bench. Some were looking at getting Heaton in for a hit 😯

It's a bit odd, never have these GK moves been so popular.

        1. President John F. Keninnsie
          • 10 Years
          9 years, 6 months ago

I have Zaba too 😉 But yeah I'm confident Hart will outscore Forster by more than 4 points from last week until I play my wildcard, so I decided to make the transfer. GK transfers obviously shouldn't be frequent 🙂

    4. Diva
      • 9 Years
      9 years, 6 months ago

If you have an injured keeper but no other major worries, and a free transfer looks a decent bet to squeeze you out another 4 points, you wouldn't consider it?

        • 9 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

Yes, of course. That was my situation with Fabi's red, got Panti in for the hit.

Short term punt (til GW 22)

    a) Di Maria

    Silva got the fixtures

Certainly not the strongest part of his game, and he's in a bad spell when not playing Bournemouth, but I think he's got the ability. 9 goals in 2200 minutes last year is pretty promising.
