Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion – Monday

The final match of Gameweek 22 gets underway at Goodison this evening as Everton prepare for the visit of Tony Pulis’ West Brom. The new Baggies boss steadied the ship with a 1-0 home win over Hull in his first league match in charge but faces a tough task to turn around his side’s woeful away form, with just two points accrued in their previous five road trips.

Saido Berahino has netted five times in two matches across all competitions since Pulis’ appointment, though, and will fancy his chances of breaching a backline that has conceded in each of the last 11 Gameweeks. The likes of Andre Wisdom and Joleon Lescott are also on Fantasy radars as we look to the “Pulis effect” to transform the West Brom defence.

For the hosts, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas will be looking to kick on from their midweek cup displays at West Ham. Both grabbed a goal apiece in the Upton Park defeat, with the latter also supplying an assist for his compatriot, whilst at the back, Leighton Baines’ two assists in the last three suggest he could yet persuade many Fantasy owners to hold for now as the Toffees attempt to rediscover last year’s form and climb up the table.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I have never wanted to see a post match interview before, especially from a 0-0 draw between two bottom half teams. Most exciting league in the world, indeed.

    Going Dummet/Pantilmon instead of Foster/PvA

Triple West Brom looks great but I want a slightly more diverse defence.

Funny how this was like a Sliding Doors moment.

Mirallas scores and has a laugh and joke with his teammates about it and is the main man..

As it is I think he will be looking for another club....

Costa's value will rise before the next game right?

Was thinking to do Cresswell, Silva, Austin to Dummett, Puncheon, Costa in 2 weeks which gives me 0.0 itb, so my real question:

    A) Still get Dummett (against Hull) and Puncheon this week, Terry, Austin --> Azpi, Costa next week

    B) Dont do the extra Terry transfer and pick a 4.2 or less defender (suggestions please, already have PVA)

Saw the game today, Wisdom made a lot of runs going forward and had a great opportunity to score. However, at the end of the game, Baird has more BAPs than Wisdom. Considering it's a 0.6 difference, I would stick to Baird assuming he's nailed on

If you already have neither probably not, though Wisdom is a safer bet for more gametime.

IMO that Naismith interview was as stinging an indictment on RM's leadership skills as anything else. That should be something the manager handles and no player should even have the stones to say anything about it.
