    Far too many options with the Kun cash 🙁

                Arsenal have been riding there luck a bit imo. That United game was a complete fluke, I have never seen United play so badly.

                    Stats don't always show the full story. Aguero sellers should no that by now.

                      Aguero had great stats , just not good enough for the most expensive player in the game......its how you interpret the stats mate....he had a large amount of his shots blocked and he usually scores from between the legs of the defenders

    Thoughts on Kane vs Bony vs Costa for kun replacements ?

    1. Bony - Gametime will be limited imo with Champions league midweek. Pelle has said he considers Sterling his 3rd striker. United away after this and v injury prone

    2. Kane - Plays Liverpool with a new manager, then Bou and Villa. Looks to be getting back into shooting mode, good performance for England too.

    3. Costa - Best fixtures, plays for the Champions but no form whatsoever. Risk of red card/yellows

    Currently leaning towards Kane

      Bony's gametime is so limited we ask him to slog his pan out for a couple of weeks, then he can go back to bench.
      As for third striker Sterling, don't make me laugh.

        GW9 => front 3 of

      I'm an Ozil owner but definitely De Bruyne. Much more of a goal threat and could be key City's attack with Aguero and Silva out.

      Was going to say kdb but with Silva and Aguero out I'm probably going to have to go with Ozil since his link up play with Theo and Sanchez has been excellent. That being said, I'm a kdb owner

      Alexis or Walcott for Arsenal cover atm. Better scorers.

        Alexis certainly is better than Ozil if looking for Arsenal players. But it is a bit hard to compare an 11.3 mil player with 8.4 mil.

        Walcott vs Ozil is closer, but I think Ozil is more consistent at creating chances and generally gets assists. Add to that more time pitch than Walcott, better form and more total points so far. Walcott seems to be the flavour on this site, but I prefer Ozil.

        For what it is worth, I already have KDB and Ozil, and I am seriously considering Mahrez -> Alexis with the cash I can free up from Aguero -> Vardy.

    If Boruc was your only playing keeper would you sell McCarthy or him for -4? Taking a hit on a keeper is just silly I understand that but he has MCI, TOT, SOT in the next 3 and SWA, MUN, CHE, EVE in the following 5. He will probably get me negative points in some of those games and with most taking hits this week would it pay off in the long run?

    1. Billy Gilmore
      • 12 Years

      I wouldn't. Bad fixtures just mean more chance for saves, so he'll probably do better than in the good fixtures seeing as they never look like keeping CSs.

    Morning all,

    Best of these 2 routes?

    A) = GW13 Wildcard
    - GW9: Sinclair & Kun -> KDB & Lukaku (-4) [bench Mahrez]
    - GW10: Pedro -> Wally
    - GW11: Ruddy -> Howard/Begovic

    B) = GW11 Wildcard
    - GW9: Pedro & Kun -> Haz & Costa (-4)
    - GW10: Mane -> Wally
    - GW11: Wildcard

    Ruddy
    Kolarov, Bellerin, Huth
    Sanchez, Pedro, Mane, Mahrez
    Aguero, Pelle, Vardy

    Rudd, Sinclair, Coates, Targett
    Bank 0.6m

          I don't know where people are getting it from, though. If Jose says anything, you can reassess, but I can't see him being dropped long term.

            I think it's based on Pedro's and Willian's recent performances. Pedro hasn't really produced anything the last 4 matches whereas Willian has 3 goals in his last 3.

            There was also a rumour of a CHE player revealing information before the last game that angered Jose, which I think may have been linked with Pedro. Not sure on that though.

      Im going to go against the grain here Jinswick... I like A.

      I see where you are going with B (basically betting that Chelsea will come good this week) - but personally Im not convinced of it. They might come good (of course) - but the stats don't like them this year and when there are so many other player who are on-form I just don't think its a gamble that you need to take. In contrast, KDB has fixtures AND form at present and Lukaku has form and great fixtures just around the corner. Id also be loathed to lose Mane at this stage (option B).

      My only suggestion would be to look at Coleman rather than Howard as Everton defensive coverage.

      That's my 2 cents.

        Thanks AB, and I agree about the CHE stats. It'd be a leap of faith bringing Haz & Costa in this week, but I don't think it's the worst gamble given how dire AVL have been of late and in this fixture in recent years (13 goals shipped in the last 3).

        Agree about KDB and Lukaku, I just wonder if they can wait a couple of weeks - MUN, ars is tough for Lukaku and KDB also has mun and is without Silva and Kun for the next 2. As for Mane, I'd only lose him for 1 week (liv) as I would most likely bring him back on a GW11 WC and I wouldn't lose any value on him (I've had him from the start at 8m), so I think I can live with that.

        I'm swaying towards A at the moment, but can definitely see the merits of waiting a little longer to WC.

            Sound reasoning (as always) and difficult to argue against your thinking.

            My WC is active this week so my thoughts are focused on long-term player picks - but in your situation I can certainly appreciate the temptation to punt on Hazard and Costa.

            You could always hedge your bets by going with B) but with KDB instead of Haz?

            Good luck whatever way you jump.
