Following on from Halloween, it’s time to revisit a horror show Gameweek from Granville.

Having gathered an array of green arrows in recent weeks, my ScoutCast co-host produced a pair of transfer howlers, watching on from behind the sofa as both Philippe Coutinho and Riyad Mahrez banged nails into his Gameweek coffin.

Jonty and I do our best to dwell on Granville’s misery for as long as possible, before attempting to cheer him up with similarly scary tales from the community in “Rough with the Smooth”.

We then take on your questions, debating Leicester’s legs, United’s decline and whether we can actually tame the Fantasy Football troll that is Romelu Lukaku.

This episode of the ScoutCast was broadcast live on Tuesday evening (before the news on Hector Bellerin’s injury) via our YouTube channel.

    Personally don't understand why anyone would captain Vardy over Mahrez. No. of double figure hauls this season:

    Vardy - 2
    Mahrez - 6

    Captaincy is all about explosiveness imo. I am probably going Mane(c) Mahrez(vc)

          Doesn't matter if he is just consistently scoring 5-9 pts he is certainly representing value but definitely not doing a lot of damage as a captain.

      Completely agree mate. I like captains with the potential to score big points, rather than likely to score a few points. Mane has never been too good to me in FPL though, I know thats not a good reason to not captain him, but still it does put me off.

    Confusing arse GW right now, trying to analyze the AoA's use later on in the season, but it may be better played now with my defense in relative shambles (Myhill, Kolarov, Bellerin, Cedric, Dawson, Huth). Better move here lads?

    It don't think there's a stand out captaincy option this week (Think there are a lot of decent options, just not may good ones).

    Is a punt on Ayoze Perez a stupid move? I can see that being a wide open game, which will have a lot of goals, and I really rate Perez as a player. But, are thise good enough reasons? Cheers all 🙂

        im playing AOA this week though. and have Kolarov + Monreal then Francis, Dawson, Muniesa on bench.

        Whichever transfer of these I do this week. ill probably do the other the next anyway. just depends which will score highest this week

        No one likes getting rid of a player who just got a massive haul, espicially if they are a GK 😉

        Butland won't keep any CS's in the next month or so. DDG will keep a few.

        6 saves = 2 points

              I was replying to the Butland to De Gea

              Even on the reckoning on a couple more clean sheets from de Gea over Butlands save points doesn't make you many points for the use of a transfer (a saved transfer could save a -4 in next week or so when getting Aguero back and the million could be used elsewhere

              So I'd just hold and carry transfer over if those are your only 2 problems

      A: might be a bit of a luxury move imo, depending on the rest of your team, it might not be the necessary upgrade your team needs as Stoke have decent fixtures. If not, then I prefer this move for sure.

      B: Luxury as well, I'd play Monreal for sure.

      Agree. The AOA chip is pretty useless in itself but with alot of the popular defenders away, injured maybe or hard fixtures seems on ok time to play. Plus will back to a 4.5 mid soon to enable Aguero

    I was going to save AOA for a time of a defensive crisis but it seems unlikely 3/5 of my defenders will be injured or suspended. And if any of them are, I probably have to get rid of them anyways for the long-term.

        I can get Aguero back with 2FTs currently, is it worth holding a WC until later in the season? I've never had a WC this long lol, but feel getting Aguero back is a good time to use it??

          if you can get him with 2FT then of course no need to WC to get him back. Personally i don't think it is better or worse playing a WC early or late, both tactics can work out well in the end

            If I get Mane in, it would be a -4 to get Aguero back, but I want to change Francis, Targett and my 2nd GK, and may upgrade Fletcher if I can afford it.

            I hear a lot of people use their WCs for DGWs, but I feel 2fts can be just as effective there...?
