FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Results and Fourth Round Draws

Ahead of this weekend’s fourth round stage of our two Premier League cup competitions, we look back at the events of the previous clashes and some of the most eye-catching match-ups.

Mark is now the only surviving former winner in our open to all cup after seeing off tkmlim 72-65 in round three. He next faces What Divock?!, who defeated reigning champion A Manager Has No Name.

Joining him through the exit door is Wild Rover, who was crushed 90-70 by the contest’s highest-ranked manager 50th-placed pitstop1.

The unlucky boss to next face pitstop1 is The Shaman, who is ranked just 373,401.

Another former winner to fall was Donnellyc, who was dispatched by Who Divock Is Origi.

Joining Mark as other representatives of our live Hall of Fame top ten in the next round are Dronny Imp (aka David Meechan), whose score of 92 was enough to beat Jurgen Can Karius and set himself up a match against Quinntessentials.

Another elite manager to prevail is My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg), who scored 89 in his victory over Prophet and next takes on Donnellyc’s conqueror Who Divock Is Origi

The full fourth round draw can be found here.

In our Members Cup Fenghh, who beat former winner Trigg in round two, makes it through to the fourth round after defeating 2,208-ranked christian steinbauer.

But things do not get any easier for our 36,596-placed giant killer as he now faces the competition’s top-ranked manager Hana, who is 170th in the world.

Elsewhere in the round four draw, community regulars RoysCallerAnne and Dr Ennet face each other, with the former’s 829 rank making him the favourite over his 19,528-placed opponent.

There will also be a community writers derby when Career Hall of Fame analyst TopMarx takes on Kryten, who has written extensively on bandwagons and the effect of European cup involvement on Premier League teams. With a rank of 13,069, compared to Kryten’s placing of 27,609, TopMarx is the slight favourite for this battle of the scribes.

The full fourth round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

When will the fixture ticker be updated?

Rather annoying when trying to look at those with DGW's and deciding when to play the wildcard. Considering going early in 35 depending on how the fixtures look in 35 for those with doubles in 37.

Just playing around with my team in anticipation for DGW 37. Players from teams with good fixtures tend to be higher-priced

Spine: Kun, Kane, Sanchez, Hazard, Alonso, one of Alli/Eriksen, one of Sane/Pedro/Walcott = 70 million for 7 players
Cheapos: Pickford, Yoshida, Stones, Davies (depends on Rose) = 18 million for 4 players

Assuming team's selling value of 105 million, then I am left with 105 - 88 = 17 million for 4 players, that's an average of 4.2-4.3 million per player

Rest of team will then consist of Jaku (SGW), Anichebe, Kone, Nyom ??

It's really tough. I looked at this yesterday and considered using bench boost in GW34 as I actually have a better bench than what I'll have for 37 given the higher price players I want at that time.

surely not though, far better using it when all players have DGW? just settle for cheaper players and maybe a couple who have one game but a favourable fixture. Dont see the logic in playing BB in 34

Have you tried making a team with bench fodder for GW37? I have and realised its not much different to getting one with all starters due to the number of cheap DGW options; stephens, yoshida, pickford, capoue. There's a v cheap bench that all have 2 fixtures and will all play if fit.

I still think it comes down to struggling to accomodate Hazard, Sanchez and two 10m+ strikers.

        Decisions...

If he's back in training then I think so. As long as he makes 60 minutes I'll be happy. Besides, you want him for the two weeks after as well and as long as you're not removing anyone that good then the risk is minimal. For me McAuley is going and I'm very happy about it.

This. I have a pretty straightforward -4 planned for this week -

Alonso and Llorente OUT; Ward and Benteke IN.

        Leaves me 1.8m in bank.

Free transfer for GW34 will be Costa (or Lukaku) to Ibrahimovic (TC).

Then will play my CP assets at home in 35 vs Burnley and WC in GW36 for a planned BB in 37.

Only downside is going without Kane 33-35 (Bou, CP, Ars) but I have both Dele and Eriksen.

To me he can fix it easily with a few transfers though...Ibra he will want to keep for the double. Lukaku should be undroppable short term at the very least. Llorente returns this week (maybe worth dropping or benching for Yoshida if anything. Alli undroppable, Firmino great fixtures, Sig bang out of form but millions will still be holding him for the run in, Sanchez he could drop for Zaha and have tons of cash to spend. Luiz Walker both fine..don't think its nothing a max -8 couldn't fix.

Obviously the WC could improve it a bunch, but having the WC for 36 and enabling 15 DGWers or something for 37 will be much more profitable I feel. Only 33, 34 and 35 to navigate, then WC 36. Could even WC in 35 if he wanted. Two/Three weeks max to navigate, think it's not that dire.

Hazard is no longer a differential.
He is owned more than sanchez.

    I no likes this

Sanchez is owned more where it counts.

I was thinking to do hazard to sanchez , guessing hazard will have lower ownership.

Still this a good move TM?

          I wouldn't be buying Sanchez.

            My bad.
I would replace sanchez with hazard

Not a great week for it. Would be more tempted in 34.

Pencilled in for the last two GWs for me - can't bring myself to part with Alexis

At some stage, Wenger will remember how many goals Arsenal scored with him up top, right?

GW37 No BB, TC, AOA or WC

    Valde
    Alonso Davies Valencia
    Sanchez *King Hazard Pedro/Sane
    *Lukaku Aguero

This decent. Looks like the best I can do with limited tranfers 🙁

    * = Single game

I can work backwards from there

Try Valencia and Walker to Yoshida and Stephens 😉

Great squad. If you really want Kane, you could do Sanchez and Barnes ➡ Kane and Zaha?

Yeah but with 2 doubles Sanchez is a massive risk to drop. Also I have triple Spurs so would need to loose 1 of those first too

Any news on Harry Maguire? Pretty keen not to play 2 at the back for a 3rd GW in a row......... Coleman, F-M and Valencia all played their part too!!!
