Excess baggage checked in, deckchairs reserved and sun block applied – the Scoutcast team are all ready to hit the beach.

Smack in the middle of Gameweek 37, with points flowing from all angles, not even Hal Robson Kanu’s late goal can upset the pre-vacation mood.

Stringing five men across the midfield, Luke and Az join Jonty, Andy and myself for a bumper end of season episode as we tackle another volley of questions from you, the community.

We conduct a post-mortem on the flurry of chips, weigh up the Gameweek 38 punts, put together our final day Wildcard XI and take a look back on our own personal highs and lows of a topsy-turvy season.

After 128 minutes of that lot and sunstroke already setting in, we even forget to chat captains and transfers come the end, only to make amends later.

    Earlier I posted this....

    The well documented Spencer blunder of him losing 40 points and captaining Anichebe for DGW36 is erm...well documented.

    Anyway we are in an ML battle for top spot and going into DGW36 I was a mere 7 points behind before his blunders. Fast forward to the last game of DGW37, the gap now is 79 points in my favour.

    Tonight I have Eriksen (grr), Vert and Alli and he has Bavies, Alli and Kane (C) and then of course he has WC in the last game and will go diff central.

    Surely he can't catch me up?

    Oh my days.

    Well his Kane (c) just tore into that lead, he scored 58 tonight to my 7, so 51 points over me. My lead now just 28 points and he was a WC for diff central!

        TBH I was happy hanging on on to his coat tails as that has really pushed me this season.

        If I had one won I would have feel it was a hollow win ML win, would gladly take whatever OR I finish and be happy with that. If things took their proper course he would be whooping me anyway.

    Was thinking Eriksen > Coutinho, but I think Eriksen is worth holding onto since he got a full rest today.

    Thinking maybe Gabbiadini > Origi if Firmino doesn't play?

    Defo reckon FPL should look at adding extra bonus points for a striker that scores a hatty or more!! Every other position has multiple ways of scoring points after all. Good idea?

          It just seems like a arbitrary excuse to give an extra point . Should three assists equal an extra point ? . Also how many hattricks are there in a season ? . Hardly enough to merit an extra point .

            I get your point. But 3 assists isn't known as anything in comparison to scoring 3 goals which is named due to how hard it is.

            I used to play the metro fantasy football and they rewarded additional points for a hat trick. Goalkeepers are rewarded if they make a penalty save. But at the end of the day, that is just a save which they are rewarded points for should they string a couple saves together.
