The Big Numbers – Gameweek 1

Time to roll out our first post-Gameweek delve into the 2017/18 members’ data and assess some of the stand-out performers over the opening round of matches.

Tottenham’s top scorer misses chances aplenty as the transfers-out pick up pace. Man City’s front two and Liverpool’s summer signing from Roma arrive for analysis, while Chelsea and Palace’s left wing-backs also make the cut thanks to forward-thinking performances.

Danilo is a big worry for me. If he doesn't play then Carrol comes in.

        Perhaps...

Did Carroll look good in the opening game? Took all set pieces?

Depends on formation. No Trippier means 4 at back is likely so probably.

Best 4.5 defender replacement for Dummett (already have hegazi)
    and
Best 7mil or below option for Zaha.

i went zaha > willian, but think ramsey would also be a good (maybe better) bet
francis if he recovers is good at 4.5. also look at TAA and Kyle walker peters if your 4.5 is a short term fix

I also think he could easily have a season like last season. He benifeted from the position he was played in, and watching all his touches vs West ham on youtube (and also watched the game live), I feel like people are over reacting on him just because he got points. From a non fantasy point of view, I didnt see a performance that will keep him nailed in the side with all their other options which is why i didnt get him in.

Who would you start this week between Mee and Davies? Have a feeling I want to be playing both which I will if Zaha is confirmed out for just the one week (highly unlikely I know) or if I replace Zaha I could bench Gross. Hmmm thinking I've almost answered my own question but would be keen to hear others thoughts.

I asked previously about players with rising value.
What if my team is 99.9m now.
If I sell the player now that has drop in value.
    Initial cost 10m, now 9.9m
    Do I get 10m or 9.9m to spend ?

That's just bitter arguing. Every system is designed keeping a large number of people in mind. When it doesn't benefit you, the obvious thing is to write it off. The present system is very good imo.

                    Think of this situation.
                    You have only 2 fit
                    strikers in the game.
                    Lukaku and Defoe.
And Lukaku gets injured. Now the only choice left is to go for Defoe.
You'll get a massive rise from Defoe. From 8, his price goes to 11. If the system was the one as mentioned by you, Defoe can easily become Lukaku and everybody will have him regardless of the timing of their purchase and the game will become too template. The market should have enough fluctuations to keep the flow going on and not stagnate the game.

I have brought Atsu in for Zaha. Atsu was man of the match against Spurs and looked threatening.

He has enabled me to upgrade Rondon (don't ask) to Firmino.

That waa my thinking. Willian and Ramsey are both still quite punty. I can't say that Atsu will keep pace with either but I am certain that Firmino will outscore any 6.5m strikers.

I prefer Ramsey, but Wijnaldum could be a great pick also.

If you want a big front 3 guys like Son Wij and Ramsey could tick along nicely.
Going to be hard to watch when their teammates haul though.

With more than 15% ownership is not under the radar though. I'd say Jones or Holebas.

Bertie, Yoshi, Jones, Fuchs, Maguire, Stephens

Not a good defender I guess, looks fine while moving forward

Wanted to include Morgan but since he's not in the price range, opted for him instead.

Best mid 8.0 or under? Need to get rid of Sane and Rangel. Missed out on mkhi price rise, so was thinking pogba or silva? Any better options?

Do you have more City/United players in your team ?

      1. Carlton_Goal

Just 1 united (lukaku), no city

Then as Ophelia said, Silva seems the proper move.

Is Rangel in your starting eleven or just in the bench ?

Just on the bench, just like having all my players playing every week. Looking for a 4.5 replacement

If you got no City cover apart from sane.. Sane to Silva looks good

Somehow in my draft ive ended up with:

    Cech (boruc)
    Vertonghen Alderweireld Stones (Trippier VVD)
    Eriksen Mane Wijnaldum Coutinho (lallana)
    Jesus Lukaku Chich

With 4 Liverpool midfielders and Tadic/Redmond not being picked up by any teams.. Lallana to Tadic seems a good move right?

Yeah.. out of all the picks probs lallana best to get out hey? most injury prone, Winjnaldum more consistent?

The good fact is that with Liverpool almost qualified for the UCL Klopp won't be tempted to make some changes for this weekend, he'll surely play his best team available.

      Maybe there will be rotation.
What I don't get is that it's early in the season why not let them all play again and just build up match fitness .

2-1 isn't something to fool around with. Liverpool conceded a lot of opportunities and on another day Hoffenheim could easily scored a few more goals. Definitely not "almost qualified" for CL

Do Zaha to Willian for free or wait to get the 2nd FT and do Gabbi + Zaha to Mounie/JRod + Pogba ?

Had a lot to worry for in my team (likes of Zaha, Danilo, Abraham and Fabregas And A weaker Bench)

Can't believe got to this bad start in the beginning coz of injuries though did well with
    ***67 POINTS***

Played The Wildcard Early and thats how it looks like Now

    Hart-Elliot

Cedric-(Walker Peters -TAA/ Jones - Mbemba) -Hegazi- Hunemier

    Salah-Mkhi-Eriksen-KDB (Carroll -GoodBye Siggi)

    Kaku-Jesus-Mounie

(Downgrading Kane To Jesus Which i think will score better points per game paying 2m less gives you a dream midfield )

    Views Guys :')

That front 7 could absolutely smash it. But that defence does look a bit weak.

Im seeing a lot of value in my front 7

Regarding the back 3 Ive faith in cedric for their kind fixtures. Will get jones with my free transfers and want to enjoy some points temporarily from TAA and Walker Peters.
