Dugout Discussion – Stoke vs Man United

Saturday’s events conclude at the bet365 as Manchester United bid to reclaim the Premier League top spot with a victory at Stoke City.

Jose Mourinho’s side are awash with major Fantasy talent as Romelu Lukuku heads into the match as the top captain pick for a fourth successive Gameweek.

Over 179,000 (37%) back the Belgian with the armband who is under pressure to deliver after goals from the next three most popular picks – Harry Kane, Alexandre Lacazette and Alvaro Morata – earlier in the day.

      I did have Salah, in pre WC team but can't be asked with him.

      Have you noticed midfield options are dire? Only a handful of teams give options.

    I'm officially quitting the FPL, it's all just a waste of time and an unnecessary frustration. On wildcard i replaced KDB with Salah: complete disaster, didn't even finish the game.

    I knew i wanted to get rid of Jones but i decided to wait one more game since his fixture was better than other 5M defenders'. Kept Bertrand and Redmond because of their great run of fixtures: disaster.

    Played Foster and Hegazi because Brighton has sucked big time until now(and it's not like there were 4.5M defenders with amazing fixtures)....catastrophe.

    Decided to keep Alli instead of getting Eriksen since Alli had been more dangerous than him....they score three goals, he gets no points....nightmare.

    Picked Mkhitaryan instead of Pogba because he's United main assistman and he's always very involved: takes a corner, Matic deflects it and ends up assisting Pogba for his goal. Lukaku hasn't done anything and even if he does it won't have any impact.

    Oh, on the plus side i kept Jesus instead of getting Firmino, that was brilliant.

        Exactly, it's a game, it should be fun not frustrating and stressful. Too much wasted time, watching some games just to improve your FPL team sometimes. No more, there's no logic to it.

        get your head out of your arse. stop chasing players and instead stick with the ones you have.

        gw 1 - everyone on board salah
        gw 2- everyone get rid of salah
        gw 3 - back on board with salah
        gw 4 - get rid of salah

        I can say this about every player (jesus, kane, lacazette, alli, kola, alonso, etc.)

        get a quality team out and stick with your players. Dont be a sheep. Only do a transfer when you know that it will pay off in the LONG TERM.

        For example, I am for sure going to do Lukaku --> Kane. Kane is captain material. He will score. He might blank next week because of Wembley hoodoo but then they have 2 away fixtures and Spurs have the best away form.

        Stick. with. your. players.

            See my Salah example above. Look at Alli's points. Lacazette. Jesus. Aguero. Kane. Firmino. See a pattern?

            None of them score every gameweek. Only maybe Neymar, Ronaldo, and Messi could. If your picks are good and your trust your gut then stick with them instead of meddling with them.

            Here's my team for this week:
            Foster
            Kola, Jones, Cedric
            Pogba, Alli, Brady, RLC
            Laca (C), Lukaku, Jesus

            I've had that front line since gw 1. I could have taken out Kola and Laca after their pool game. Or pogba to Salah after last gw.

            You're chasing points. If you do so then you will fall flat because last week's scorer wont score this week and next week it's someone different. Stick with them and they'll come good.

      I have Pogba, Mkitharyan and Lukaku with 2.7 in the bank. My plan was to use free transfer for next week, Lukaku to Kane, depending on how Lukaku does. Haven't used my wildcard yet, just using transfers as they become free each week. 38 points so far this week, but waiting to see what happens in the second half before I do anything rash(ford)
