The Weekend Team News

Man City’s Sergio Aguero confirms his fitness for the trip to Leicester City. Toby Alderweireld is sidelined until around Christmas ahead of Spurs’ north London derby with Arsenal, but both Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli are expected to be in contention.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, will have Christian Benteke available for their home meeting with Everton. Here’s our round-up of the team news so far, with nine press conferences still to come.

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero took to social media yesterday to declare himself fit for the trip to Leicester City, seemingly feeling no ill effects from the dizzy spell he suffered while on international duty with Argentina.

Pep Guardiola is due to speak later today and, while we’re expecting the City boss to remain cagey, the signs are that Aguero will be in the squad at the King Power Stadium. Whether he’s chosen for the starting line-up is another matter – Gabriel Jesus has been selected for each and every away match so far this season.

Arsene Wenger has revealed that he doesn’t believe Olivier Giroud (thigh) will be fit for the derby with Spurs, while Shkodran Mustafi (thigh) and Danny Welbeck (groin) will be assessed today.

Toby Alderweireld will miss the trip to the Emirates due to a hamstring injury, and could be sidelined until after Christmas. But Mauricio Pochettino will be buoyed by the fact Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Harry Winks, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all returned to full training yesterday.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe revealed he will make a late decision on Josh King, who hasn’t trained so far this week due to a back injury. Benik Afobe is back in contention after overcoming a groin injury, but Junior Stanislas remains sidelined.

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner will travel to the Vitality Stadium without the suspended Christopher Schindler. Martin Cranie is set to get the nod in his place. Meanwhwhile, the influential Aaron Mooy will be assessed today following his international exertions with Australia.

Similarly, Burnley manager Sean Dyche will assess Chris Wood today ahead of the home clash against Swansea City. The forward arrived back late from international duty with New Zealand and is also nursing a hamstring problem.

Paul Clement will be able to call upon Wilfried Bony, Renato Sanches, Leon Britton, Martin Olsson and Angel Rangel for the trip to Turf Moor after all five players missed the 1-0 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Christian Benteke is available for Crystal Palace’s home meeting with Everton, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek is doubtful due to a back spasm. He failed to train on Thursday and will undergo further assessment prior to Saturday’s clash.

Despite returning to training, Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina will miss the trip to Anfield due to an ankle injury.

Nacer Chadli picked up a fresh injury in training on Thursday ahead of West Bromwich Albion’s home encounter with Chelsea. Manager Tony Pulis has ruled out the Belgian “for the foreseeable future”. We will hear from Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte regarding knocks to Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi later today, though the latter is expected to miss out.

Chris Hughton has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion’s home clash against Stoke City on Monday night.

But the Potters will be without injured duo Jack Butland and Geoff Cameron for the trip to the Amex Stadium. The Seagulls have no new injury concerns, with Steve Sidwell their only notable absentee.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s 11.30am deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from today’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Upgrade Quaner or Mbemba. There's a lot of fixtures in next month so the more players playing the better. Also, if Jones misses out you will be down to 10 this week.

      Tarkowski 4.5
      Lowton 4.5
      Duffy 4.5
      Dunk 4.4

Lots of museums around there, I like the bottom floor of the national portrait gallery, but many to choose from. If you do fancy a pub, try the olde Cheshire cheese on Fleet Street (maybe a mile away), it's a Sam smiths and was doctor Johnson's favourite

      I have the same issue!

Id say Christensen but is he going to be bench like Luiz in the not to distance future? Who knows! Then we will have to use another transfer..... Im leaning toward more nailed on players for the busy christmas period.

Especially as I already have a defender who doesnt play and Jones (injury prone) - I can see myself ending up with 2 playing defenders some weeks!

You are right i think it is a little bit risky for christensen on the long run i know but i'd like the idea of having a defender from chelsea in my team likely a clean sheet but who knows!!

Reminder: you don’t wildcard for the benefit of a single gameweek. Keep your head fixed on the next 4-6 at least, pick the core squad you want for all those weeks, and then - and only then! - think about transfers relating to this week and next.

    A) Moreno/Gomez
    B) Azpi
    C) Daniels

Getting rid of two from Kola, Davies, Mbemba. Thanks for your thoughts.

Is it me or is there a lack of good defenders in the 5-6 bracket outside MUN/MCI?

Arsenal/Southampton aren’t keeping clean sheets, Spurs rotate their fullbacks. Maguire perhaps an option, but yet to be convinced.

Seems you have to go up to Azpilicueta, or you may as well save and get some 4.5s in.

Foster, Elliot Otamendi, Daniels, Ward, Simpson, Mariappa
    Salah, Silva, Eriksen, Richarlison, Carroll
    Kane, Aguero, Abraham

    1FT, £0.2m ITB

    A) downgrade Silva -> Sane/Sterling
    B) Foster -> Pope/Lossl
    C) Aguero -> Lukaku
    D) save the FT
    E) other

Also struggling with the Aguero to Lukaku decision cause i can sell Aguero for 11.6 but buy back price is 11.8. Prefer Aguero BUT with Xmas coming up i see lots of rotation for Kun, whereas Lukaku kind of has to play most games unless Zlatan is back before scheduled. So maybe Lukaku in, if not the Pope move is good too since you have no Burnley defenders.

Oh shit, must have read that as Dann or something..my bad. Honestly, the double up isn't terrible seeing as how many people have faith in Burnley, having two could be a masterstroke. But unfortunate that you have the most expensive of the defenders. Would have been nice to have Lowton/Mee and Pope to save a little cash. You could also consider the Speroni/Elliot rotation, or save. I dont think you would regret getting Pope though, especially if you're willing to wait re: Big RomLu

Ok folks, I'm in a quandary, I've stupidly been trigger happy on transfer button on IB, including bringing Jones in before he was injured, then have removed him again (for a total -8), making a -16 overall hit.

    GW11 team
    Fabianski
    Kolasinac/Mee/Davies*
    Silva*/Sterling*/Salah/Richarlison
    Kane/Kun/Abraham*

    to

    GW12 team
    Fabianski
    Kolasinac/Mee/DUFFY
    SANE/SURMAN/Salah/Richarlison
    Kane/Kun/MORATA

    Subs - Elliot/Fernandez/RLC/Lascelles

    Should I...
    a) proceed with -16 hit
    b) do free hit to save the -16 hit
