Pre-Season

FPL 2018/19 pre-season page is now live on FFS

Fantasy Premier League pre-season is well and truly underway at Fantasy Football Scout now that our official ‘Pre-Season Tab’ is live on the website.

You can find it by clicking on ‘PRE-SEASON‘ on the toolbar above, or by CLICKING HERE.

Head over there now to check out all the FPL content we’ve produced so far this summer including Scout Reports on new signings, Moving Target articles on those who have switched allegiances as well as detailed research and analysis into the promoted sides and those back for another campaign in the top flight.

You can also find the complete pre-season fixture list for all 20 clubs. Southampton are the first Premier League side to play a pre-season fixture and as more and more of their rivals follow suit we’ll start adding the Scout Notes on those matches there so you can get an accurate fix on the predicted line-ups, goal-scorers and assisters for Gameweek 1.

We’ll be constantly updating the page all summer long so make sure you keep coming back to it. Every time there’s a new transfer who could do well in FPL or a pre-season encounter is played, you can read all about it there.

We already know several FPL prices for the new season and the game itself is expected to launch very soon so make sure you make the most of our content this summer!

World Cup Data

We’re delighted to offer World Cup data as an early addition to our regular season offering to help those playing Fantasy games over the summer.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

Check out this new trailer detailing the World Cup content below…

    WC FFL....thoughts?

    A Mbappe
    with 1 or 2
    B Griezmann
    With 3 or 4

    1 Lingard / Golovin
    2 Rakitic / Cheryshev
    3 Rakitic / 5m mid
    4 Lingard / Cheryshev

Struggling to think of a decent midfielder that offers a threat and is less than 6.9m other than Ruskies

    FP.

Having a quick skeg whilst @ work, rustled the first draft.

    Fabs | Begovic
    Daniels | Douglas | Ward | Williams | Schelotto
    Salah | Eriksen | Deulofeu | Sessegnon | Jota
    Aguero | Tosun | Zaha.

Seems pretty weak defensively, I'm sure with a couple of tweaks it'll be fine. Midfield & attack I really like though, couple mil spare but it'll do for now, til couple weeks at least. 🙂

    TAA, Klavan, Ward, Tarko, Schelotto
    Salah, Sane, Eriksen, Deulofeu, Gunnarson

Not with Jones, Smalling and Lindelof (who's having a decent World Cup) in the mix.

I like this team, but a little heavy in goalkeeping.

I've gone a different route a bit since I am playing h2h, so there's a bit different logic behind some choices. I will explain later. Anyways, here's my 4-5-1...

    Dubravka
    Robertson - Mendy - Coleman - Douglas
    Deulofeu - Salah (c) - Sigurdsson - Dilva - Sane
    Vardy
    ------
    Boruc - Reid - Mee - Quaner

I am after save points with Dubravka. His opening fixtures are terrible, but steady flow of 3 or 4 points wouldn't hurt me in h2h, while every clean sheet would bring me a h2h win.
Similarly with other guys in the defence: looking for one of them to have clean sheet and assist, which brings bonus points and good position in h2h duels.
Midfield is where the values will skyrocket the most and I play the value game in order to be able to have better team in the 2nd part of the season.
Vardy is the player I like. Won't spend money on big strikers since I plan to captain Salah every game in August. Kane and Lukaku will be tired from the World Cup, Aguero will (hopefully) be covered by Dilva and Sane. I would prefer Auba over Vardy, but I don't like their opening games and can't really afford him.
And, guys: I have been lurking for years and I haven't seen many good posts on h2h tactics. I play fantasy since we had to log in that newspaper site and I was all over h2h since the first season it was introduced. I don't care about positions in global classic leagues, I was around top 10k just once since I tend to take a lot of hits (I don't mind making 10 or more changes, giving myself another wild card, to prepare myself for the 6 pointer next week, for instance), but I regularly am in the top two or three in every h2h I play. It's completely different philosophy and the only bad side is you have to have different team for each league since it's impossible to control everything with just one.
