Has Kanté’s new Chelsea role improved his Fantasy potential?

Some Fantasy Premier League managers may have been too quick to jump on the N’Golo Kanté (£5.0m) bandwagon this season.

The Chelsea midfielder is now in 22.1% of squads after netting a rare goal against Huddersfield Town in Gameweek 1.

However, it seems there is little to suggest Kanté will provide much value this season in spite of his new role at Stamford Bridge.

While this is a debate that raged on the Scoutcast a few weeks ago, we thought we’d take the opportunity of the international break to give it a bit more of a look.

    Short question about my transfers this week.

    Current team: Hennessey, Begovic - TAA, Stones, Cook, Schlupp, Stankovic - Salah, Mane, Mkhitaryan, Walcott, Kante - Aguero, Morata, Ings

    My plan is to drop Schlupp and Morata for Alonso and Wilson. Do it or wait until there are news on Walcotts injury? Any other suggestions?

      You have a very flat distribution of funds in the midfield. It should give you consistency, but you’ll be inflexible if you need to shift to a different premium forward. You might be setting yourself up for major surgery later.

    Please don't just say A because of Salah. Both situations have Mane, but I'm considering ditching Team Salah only because of how unrepeatable his 300+ season is. I'm thinking 250 is more his realm and Mane and Firmino could score 175+ each...

              Personally, I would prefer a season-long core trio of Aguero/Salah/Hazard (e.g., for captaincy options/points ...) . Could you find economies in your midfield do Mane -> Salah?

                Would be an alternative... But honestly Mane really seems to be in great form, thus I am considering bringing back Salah from GW9 onwards and keep Mane for now. But I'll consider your suggestion, yes!

      What’s the best way to learn to run very very very fast? Kane needs to learn to run as fast as Mbappe. The guy is a whippet. Some player. Totally different assets and package to Kane. It’s not apples for apples when comparing them
