    Easy roll this week?

    Sels
    Gab, Huijsen, Castagne
    Salah, Palmer, Murphy, Amad
    Haaland, Isak, Pedro

    Fab, Rogers, Greaves, Bednarek
    1FT, 0.3m

      Yeah I'd say Roll.

it's a good opportunity to sort Bednarek as don't have other issues, but probably more valuable to have 2 frees next week

The best bench boost up till now is only 12 pts.
Probably watkins alone will get 12 points. U never know?

Maybe, but the winner of the BB tourney will be getting over 30pts, during a DGW.

      - Need to know more on Fabianski head injury and concussion protocol
      - not clear if Jota is ready to start games yet
      - Is Watkins correctly on the bench for BB

That's not bad at all but with the prize I'd probably be saving it for a DGW.

Am starting to wonder now if Jota might get a start over Diaz next game

People wildcarding this week. Are you getting Haaland in you team? Why and why not?

    1. ShaunGoater123

I think if you are wildcarding then yes you need to get Haaland as it's the easiest opportunity and it's a bit of a point of difference. However, is this the right time to wildcard? No in my opinion.

    2. Mother Farke
      • 1 Year

Not WCing this GW, but if I was, I wouldn't be getting Haaland. A brace v a poor West Ham team just isn't enough to convince me that he's going to go on a run. Besides, the things you can do with your team without Haaland is still significant enough to warrant not having him imo.

      1. ShaunGoater123

Yeah I do agree. I just think if you are wildcarding it's generally for a point of difference and to try and get ahead of a curve, therefore getting Haaland and hoping he then start to deliver vs his price feels like the natural thing to do.

Overall spreading the money still seems the right way, but I guess it's trying to predict the next swing to maximise a wildcard

Well I would need to sacrifice Palmer to get him in? Is it worth it??

mmm not so sure on that. i think you'd need to find a way to have salah, palmer and haaland even though it means you are hunting in the bargain bin for the rest of the team

        1. Warby84
          • 10 Years

not neccessarily but of course some sacrifices somewhere. I've just done a really quick draft, could be something like the below but obviously depends on team value

            Henderson / Fabianski
            Gabriel / Hall / Milenkovic / Castagne / Greaves
            Salah / Palmer / Sarr / Rogers / Amad
            Haaland / Isak / Pedro

0.5 left ITB based on my team value which I don't think is anything special.

The problem here is it’s difficult now to get the likes of Mbeumo or Gordon in the team, who are very consistent

              1. ShaunGoater123

well yeah, you have to make a choice. If you really wanted Gordon for example in the team I gave you could do:

                Gordon & Stewart

                vs

                Sarr & Pedro

Means a dead striker slot, but if you think backing a single horse vs having a slightly deeper squad is the way to go then there is that option.

Been toying with this but think it's too early still. Could do:

              Fab Valdi
              Timber Konate Milenkovic Myko 3.9m
              Salah Palmer Mbeumo Gordon Nwaneri
              Haaland Isak Stewart

Don't like losing a strong fifth midfielder (and Nwaneri not nailed of course as an effective budget option). Bench very weak/non existent and defence takes a hit though the three starters would be ok.

This is with team value of 105.8 (nothing left in the bank). No ability to play asst manager chip without further sacrifice.

Probably VVD in looking at fixtures.

However I'd be tempted to bench Martinez. He doesn't score many so don't let this week blinker you and United are still vulnerable to concede. I think VVD has more potential to get attacking points then Martinez assuming they both concede

What would you do this week with the below:

    Henderson
    Gabriel / Cucurella / TAA
    Salah / Palmer / Amad / KDB
    Jackson / Isak / Pedro

    Fabianski / Rogers / Robinson / Davis

    2FT's, 0.1 ITB

    Your takes on Jackson?

    1. Keep (one more?)
    2. Gakpo (but tough immediate away game)
    3. Wissa (tough fixtures but at home vs leaky def)
    4. Pedro (feels utterly dull)
    5. Mateta (great fixtures on paper but it’s CP again)
    6. Raul (just a trap now?)

Good morning guys! Need a bit of advice with my team... don't see any outstanding transfers for next week.

Have been planning on downgrading Gvardiol for a while but that kinda 'wastes' a transfer since I'm not really gonna play his replacement + Gvardiol has Ipswich the GW after.

    Sanchez Valdi
    TAA Gabriel Gvardiol Hall Myko
    Salah Palmer Gordon Sarr Rogers
    Isak Wood Pedro

    0.8 ITB
    1 FT

I'd roll the transfer I think. Gvardiol is ripe for downgrading but like you say it's Ipswich next and if you don't need the cash now then an extra transfer is valuable.

Maybe post your team how you'd set it up as would help to see what you are thinking

I sold Pickford for Alisson a few weeks ago and kind of regret it, as I want Pickford back for the double. Would you reverse it?

Alisson also has a double though?

True, I guess I’m just not liking the Liverpool defensive double up atm as also own TAA

If I were to WC now I’d be getting Alisson and Konate with the double in mind. You can get Young for Everton defence. The difference between Young and Pickford offsets the difference between Pickford and Alisson

Anything worth a hit here? 0.5itb.
Was thinking Enzo to Amad and bench Wissa.

    --Raya
    --Gabriel--Robinson--Hall
    --Salah--Palmer--Bruno--Rogers
    --Isak--Jackson--Wissa

    --Matthews--Timber--Enzo--Aina

    Thanks.

      Bruno.

But I actually am happy with Amad. I think he can keep up with Bruno for a lot less and opens doors elsewhere in the team.

Do you really think so? Bruno on set pieces, pens, creates so many chances and takes a lot of shots as well.

Between GWs 11-17 their most comparable set of 6 consecutive fixtures (Bruno's RC made calculations annoying so we had to go back before the RC in GW18):

Amad has taken more shots than Bruno 19/18, more in the box 14/8. Has a higher xG from open play. xA is lower but only 1.08/1.44.

If you discount penalties, Amad is statistically even better than Bruno. Pens obviously makes Bruno the better pick overall disregarding price, but are pens worth 3m? I don't think they are.

    Currently on this WC team

    Pickford Stolarczyk
    Munoz Hall Neco Castagne Greaves
    Salah Palmer Bruno Rogers Murphy
    Haaland Isak Stewart

Bruno to Mbeumo/Gordon depending on form and fixtures. BB plans for end of the season.

What scenario are people thinking of using the Assistant manager chip?

If was available last year then Glasner at Palace would have yielded 67 points.

Best to wait for a new manager bounce at a team.near relegation places or play safe and go Slot when he has a DGW? Obviously there is scope to switch but I guess transfers are.precious.

I'm considering Amorim for the chip given United's position in the table

Also depends on other remaining chips. I have all mine available but am thinking get it played early so that I'm free to attack Blanks and Doubles.

Once Liverpool's double is confirmed, I'll give AM some thought after I've pencilled in my TC.

Why Garnacho did not get an assist for Man Utd's 2nd goal? As Scout reported above "Amad Diallo (£5.3m) also got in on the act, snatching a point when he turned home Alejandro Garnacho’s (£6.0m) cutback."

Anyone knows why was this not given? If this was due to unintended or deflected pass/cross, then Lewis Hall to Isak last week should not have counted too. Puzzled....
