I guess he's seen by some as a firestarter on the pitch, so goes with him off it. » Read

Is there a joke about Evans being part of an Uber defence that only FPL managers will get?No. Okay then. » Read

Good shout. Would be nice if league limit was increased based on season's played or something. Some rewards for loyalty to the game would be nice and, realistically, veterans are more likely to require more league entries. » Read

Yes, you're correct. All four will need to move to a TV slot.No televised slots are in place for GW34 currently so I presume they could drop in Mon, Tues, Wednesday and Thursday.I presume the rescheduling for GW34 won't be announced until after the QF are played and therefore they will use the semi-final lineup as a basis for planning GW34 midweek matches. So if Spurs draw United, in the QF, the team that's knocked out will be playing on the Thursday as they won't be involved in an FAC semi and their PL GW34 fixture will move to Sunday.Alternatively, I guess we could well see one of those fixtures removed and creating another DGW. » Read

You’ll be looking to Choupo-Moting or Diouf or perhaps Doucoure to deliver - those will be the calibre of differentials over a non FH lineup. I think the GW35 Differentials could be stronger. Theory again at this point 😉 » Read

You can gain an advantage from a smaller pool if you nail the right players. But if there are fewer fixtures the potential for goals, assists and clean sheets are lower. I think a 5-5 or 6-4 split could be best a 3-7 as we could be more limiting. Obviously it depends on whether you already have the protagonists covered without the chip. » Read

It’s a sweet spot - we need the blanks to justify it and reduce the FH risk but we the talent pool to exploit it. All theory but that’s how I see it.Part three has more on this with regard the potential limitations of GW31. » Read

It's the first time we've had the FH chip. We're not being definite on whether this is the right strategy - it's a popular theory and you're right to challenge it.But equally, I don't think you can be so definite in your appraisal of it being "lazy" and a "waste".Nobody really knows but the theory looks sound and, of course, this is part of "fun" at this stage of the season to speculate on this kind of thing.Let's see what the FAC give us. » Read

But that's the case when you use the BB in a DGW regardless of when the GW drops. Unless you're not BB for a DGW, there's always that risk of single GW players stinging. You can keep Walcott and Shaqiri for GW34 but then you have to hold them in GW32 and GW33 and fixtures are awful so that surely counters their better fixtures in GW34 - Stoke have Arsenal and Spurs. Everton have City and Liverpool. » Read

The Free Hit in GW35 is not all about maximising the score in that GW, it's about being able to build for a BB in GW34 without any consideration for the blanks. That seems quite powerful to me, but it depends on how the fixtures fall and who has the GW35 blanks. » Read

But FH and BB are dependent on the ability to hit the selection of 11-15 players spot on.You'd be doing that in GW37 and 38 when predicting teamsheets is very difficult. If the top four race and relegation battle is still on, then fine. But it might not be.GW34 there should be fewer doubts on any team resting and rotating or lacking motivation. » Read

Sure, but we haven't had a scenario whereby managers without the WC are driven to load up on DGW assets. A bigger number of rises and falls over GW32 and 33 are very possible I think. You might be okay WC'ing asap for GW33 but I think there will be a good deal of rises between GW31 and 32.Players that blank in 31 will likely go down off the back of sales heading into the GW31 deadline, so there's a chance of snapping them up at a cheaper price if we WC in 32. » Read

A manager carrying GW31 players into 35 presumably won't be bench boosting in GW34.By WC'ing in 32 and making two FT's in 34, a potential 15 man DGW squad can be built.I think a squad built to withstand GW35 might struggle against that. » Read

The issue is that in the Scout Notes over the next few days, we would be visiting this stuff anyway. So that would negate the need for the articles and make it difficult for folk to find the consolidated info.Better that we get these articles out, set up the framework, then revisit and update the thinking in the Notes. We have a Burning Question out next week also to tie things up. » Read
