    Agree with this. Son/Werner + 0.5 beats Jimi/Bruno for me. » Read

If Jota nails down a spot he’ll be the best midfield option up to 8m by so far it’s not even funny given his price » Read

Might be in GW3 for me, but will mean I’m basically ignoring united completely... » Read

Great rank history - I noticed ours were quite similar If you add up the FPL points we've both scored over the last 6 seasons, there's a 38 point difference overall (won't say which way ;)) You did beat me by a lot last season though - guess just like Salah I'm in decline.... (And I'm aware my team isn't linked) » Read

You win football matches by scoring more goals than the opposition. If Messi increases the amount of goals they score more than the amount they concede, they will win more football matches. If your argument is that you think the marginal benefit (incremental goals scored minus goals conceded) of playing Mahrez is greater than that of Messi (in any given football match vs any team) - then I respectfully disagree. » Read

They're not buying Messi to improve their defence though - they're buying him because of the ridiculous improvements he brings to their attack. He's on a different planet to Mahrez/Bilva in that RW position. Unless you're saying that Mahrez is that much better defensively compared to Messi that it counter balances the likely incredible surge in attacking output? » Read

Fair points. I was describing the scenario where you’re absolutely locked in to a GW2 transfer and will do it immediately post deadline or after the games etc pretty much come what may. If there’s more to it that needs to be factored in. » Read

I don’t expect united to get half as many penalties as they did last season, which is part of it. » Read

It’s a simple mathematical problem for me. (‘Stand in’ points + 4) vs ‘Placeholder’ points. Both averaged over the long term expectation. If your stand in is a 4.5 defender with a reasonable fixture, it’s obviously a lot better to simply bench the player you want GW2 than if you’re playing with 10, for example. In both cases though, it comes down to your subjective assessment of long term average points for a particular player in a particular fixture. » Read

If you have a decent starting replacement, it’s better than booking a transfer in to get him GW2. Whether it’s worth getting him at all is a different question 😉 » Read

Roberto Firmino is not a bad finisher. I think last season was negative variance more than anything else. Expecting better from him this season. » Read

Best potential treble up based on that AK? Pulisic and Havertz (price dependant) sounds good from what you’ve said. Then I guess it’s Werner or Ziyech? » Read
