Guaita is a great GK and Hodgson is a defense first mentality manager. While Dubravka is out and Pope + Patricio costs +0.5 more, I'd rather go with either Guaita or Pickford on a WC. Guaita will probably pick more save points out of the two due to how Palace plays. » Read

Looks good if you want TAA and are happy with Ryan + Lamptey double up. Some 5.0 (e.g. Saiss) and 5.5 (Castagne) defs seem like a significant improvement over 4.5s. » Read

If MCity starts with a BANG, that WC might come earlier than you think. Better have a template ready. I guess with Aguero out, if Jesus suddenly becomes a clinical finisher we might all be in trouble. » Read

If you are not happy with Soucek/West Ham and their fixtures, you could have him 1st on bench and gamble on extra defender CS using 433. This GW was a goalfest but on a normal GW it might work out. » Read

Downgrade Ings (Wood? Antonio? Mitrovic?) and inject the cash into your defense. Justin->Castagne +1M and Dunne to 5.0 (Egan, Coleman?) or at least 4.5 (Taylor, Lewis, KWP?) would go a long way. » Read

Bissouma has a red card but you already have Soucek, so I don't know of there's any other 5.0 or below options worth actually considering. Soucek to Klich if you think Leeds keeps getting penalties? » Read

If you absolutely want to take a hit, I would prefer Bruno to Zaha/JRod this week to get the funds to upgrade Davis to Bamford/Mitrovic/Wood/DCL next week. So many goals this season that triple cheapish forward seems worth it. » Read

  11. Fabinho starts at centre-half as injured Gomez and Matip miss Chelsea v Liverpool 2 days, 15 hours ago

Ziyech was injured so people swapped him for Havertz to get double Chelsea attack with Werner. The 7.5-8.5 mid slot was not exciting initially since Greenwood had blank GW1, Pepe vs Willian we had no idea which one starts and JRod was signed so late lots of people either missed the transfer, did not think he would play GW1 in the XI and/or did not believe in Everton. In that price range, Havertz seemed like a risk worth taking. » Read

  12. Fabinho starts at centre-half as injured Gomez and Matip miss Chelsea v Liverpool 2 days, 15 hours ago

Greenwood + Zaha + JRod = you have picked all 3 candidates from the 7-7.5 mid range? You could consider downgrading one to upgrade Brewster (Wood, Mitrovic, Antonio?). Otherwise, if one of the 3 mids injures themselves or blanks, you don't really have replacement options available. » Read

More likely you just grab a random 5.5 and stick with it until WC2 because using FTs on non premium players is rarely worth it. Klich has pens which is excellent for such a cheap player. » Read

  18. The arguments for and against using a Wildcard in FPL Gameweek 3 6 days, 5 mins ago

Thanks. I think that my main concern is that I think a fair price for Digne is 5.5M. He's not as attacking under Ancelotti as he had been in the past. Taking a few corners now and then seems like his biggest advantage over Coleman stat wise, and that's hardly worth +1.0M. I guess an additional option would be to to pick Pickford over a 4.5 keeper and combo that with a 0.5 cheaper defender than Coleman/Digne from another team to compensate. » Read

  19. Latest injury updates on Werner and Pulisic as James stars in Chelsea win 6 days, 12 mins ago

Kun, Werner, Martial, Jimenez, Richarlison/DCL all have decent fixture runs. However, you can only take 3 forwards into a team. Kun is the most expensive and suffers from Pep roulette. DCL is almost an "enabler" pick being cheaper than the others. Jimenez has been in explosive form and his GW3-> fixtures are superb. It kind of boils down to Werner vs. Martial vs. using only 2 forwards. Martial is 0.5M cheaper and less owned than Werner. That being said, if not on a WC, I'd stick with Werner instead of transfering and look into getting MUtd/MCity mids instead. JRod gives tough opposition to Foden though IMO because he's not THAT much more expensive, has decent fixtures, and won't get rotated. » Read

  20. The arguments for and against using a Wildcard in FPL Gameweek 3 6 days, 39 mins ago

His form in Wales national team was so bad that he was subbed off the pitch at half-time vs Finland. The team played better without him in the second half and won. Bad first touches, lots of possession losses, sky high shots. Not worth even 6.5M until there is significant improvement. » Read
