Please discuss the impact of leaked team news. My 2 cents on it: 1) For unfavorable time zones, this is a big nuisance. We don't need people to be awake late at night to be called 'dedicated' team managers. 2) Even for favorable time zones, you don't want to get so 'dedicated' to FPL that you are forced to remain glued to twitter looking at leaked news while your missus shouts and your children cry! (P.S: My missus is extremely supportive and she completely understood why I was jumping up and down on Salah benching around the deadline yesterday. And I don't have children yet) FPL gains should come from focus and consistency, not from sitting infront of your computer screen ignoring everything else that needs your attention at that time. FPL, after all, is just a game meant to have fun. » Read

  7. Wood's aerial threat bodes well for Brighton match as Burnley get behind Pope 23 days, 10 hours ago

I must say that you have some valid points about team motivation and how to use it to decide the front 7. But don't think we should read too much into Crystal Palace v Bournemouth game of last year. That was a freak occurrence and this year some other game might produce a freak occurrence. » Read

Ha Ha .. I am wondering if we would want to make way for one of Vardy or Rashford by the time GW 37+ ends. Whosoever needs the 3 points more in the final showdown. » Read

I think we need to discuss Forwards for a Free Hit team for GW 38+. Going by the logic of chasing the Golden Boot contenders, we have Auba, Vardy and Ings. But we also have Jesus against a deflated Norwich, Kane against a out of sorts Crystal Palace and an ever improving Rashford who dare I say is fixture proof. And of course, there has been so much talk about folks like Wood with a good fixture in 38+. Which 3 are people looking to get in their Free Hit teams? And what is the rationale behind their decisions. » Read

Thanks Tom! Here you go: (0.0 in the bank) Saiss, Maguire, Digne | (Aurier, Femenia) Salah, Pulisic, Sterling, Antonio| (Berge) Ings, Vardy, Rashford FH left for 38. Choices for 37: (a) Digne + Aurier - >Tierney + Tarkowski (b) Vardy to Wood + Loads of money to make any move (Femenia to Trent/Robbo?) » Read

Looks like I missed the ship for a quick Q&A with one of the greats of FPL, But let me try in case you are still available to answer the question. I will be using FH in 38+, and I go into 37+ with two transfers in hand. I am quite happy with my front 7, the only change I was considering was Vardy to Wood, which now I am not sure of after looking at Vardy's excellent performance against Sheffield United. Should I instead use my 2FT's to make two defensive transfers? - Digne and Aurier out for possibly a Arsenal defender(Tierney, Bellerin) and a Burnley defender (Tarkowski), and play Saiss as my 3rd defender leaving Maguire on the bench. » Read

Do we need to re-evaluate the thought to target Bournemouth after two spirited performances against Spurs and Leicester? Have we now finally reached a stage when we can say that Watford, West Ham, Bournemouth and Aston Villa are fighting tooth and nail for survival and will not be pushovers? Instead, should we now focus on targetting teams on the beach like - Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Everton. Southampton and Burnley seem to be exceptions to the 'On the beach' rule - Southampton may be due to their aggressive style and Burnley due to their combativeness and the great Nick the Pope! » Read
