Please don't take my word as gospel but I'm sure there's something within the pricing structure that means you've really got to accept a certain amount of lesser value midfield or forward players otherwise your team is f+cked. » Read

I think I'd have Alonso at 7m if he was guaranteed a full season tbh; he's quite prolific. Mane fell off a bit last season and I visualise that continuing this season; he's made his money at Liverpool. Wood scored 14 goals last season. I'm not sure he'll match that this season but I'll 100% have him as my 3rd striker if he comes in at 6m! » Read

I've noticed that so many nondescript comments get upvoted on here. Surely people don't have a secondary account and do it themselves? 😉 » Read

Not qualified. His lack of minutes and fantasy form since the re-start see's him out with the washing. » Read

Each to their own. If you're willing to pay 12.5m for a player who you cannot be 100% confident from one week to the next whether or not they'll actually start is up to you. High risk, high rewards I suppose. » Read

He's getting a bit geriatric as well tbh; I'll quote you 33/1. Personally, I'm looking for a young improver who hasn't already made their money. Like... » Read

Hmmm, he was largely injured last season but he was assessed as being a 10m player off the back of a 209 point season before that. Yip, an extra 42 points this season but perhaps the fact that he'll turn 30 during 20/21 might make 12m+ a bit extreme. » Read

I was just looking at the xPTS league table for this season and if it's to be taken seriously then there might be good money to be made by backing Newcastle to be relegated next year. They finished clear bottom on those stats, seven points away from safety and it reckons that 12 of their points were earned fortuitously (or by Dubravka!). At 5/1 I reckon that's a good season long investment. One caveat though; it also reckons Manchester City should have won the league by 12 points! » Read

Santi Cazorla. Seem to remember him getting four assists on a Monday night near the end of the season to clinch my works league! I delve into the Paddy Power fantasy game (with limited success) but it's still interesting nonetheless and it's very stats based. That's how I think there might be a niche for it in these days when OPTA is so prevalent. » Read

I emailed the FPL and suggested that their secondary game could be one that used BAPS as the scoring system. Told them that they could use a different background or teams' second kits to avoid any unfortunate transfers when playing between the two games. Would mean a different price structure with some previously unconsidered players suddenly becoming near prize assets. Just about everything that happened throughout the 90 minutes of a match would suddenly become interesting without detracting from the thrill of a goal, assist or cleanie. Surely more fun than the auction game or the squad based one before that? » Read
